You were lying down on the grass watching birds fly over head against the baby blue backdrop of the clear sky. Your hands were intertwined over your stomach as you bathed in the peace and quiet. You closed your eyes and listened to the sway of trees and the whistle of the breeze. The grass crunched under the feet of a tall boy with lavender locks.

"You know, news of your little argument with that Bakugo guy is travelling quite fast." You opened your right eye to squint up at the owner of the gruff baritone. You took in his pale sleepy complexion, his tussled hair and his white pupils before closing your eye again. You hummed.

"Aren't you that kid who declared war on the class last week?" You asked as you heard him lie beside you. He turned his head to look at you, your hair had spread out around your head, your features looked delicate and calm and the sunlight casted a glow on you that complimented your skin. In short, you looked beautiful.

"Yeah, that's me. I was serious by the way, I'm coming for you guys." He announced staring straight up at the sky now. He could see why you were out here; it was like a tranquil safe haven. You chuckled slightly and opened your eyes.

"You've got balls, I'll give you that." It was his turn to chuckle as he smirked slightly at your comment and shrugged. "If you want you can have my space in the class, it's not like I want it." You spat bitterly, rolling to your side with your hands under your head to gaze at him.

He mirrored your movements, "If you don't want it then why are you here?" His brows furrowed in wonder, in his eyes nothing was more coveted than a spot in the hero course, yet here you were saying that you didn't want it.

"Nezu made my parents a promise when they were alive, they always wanted me to come here." You recited the lie that the principal told you to say. It was partially true, your parents did want you to come here.

"So your silver spoon got you in." It was more a statement than a question. You could hear the envy in his voice, it made you scoff. He looked at you incredulously when you did.

"Sorry, but it's not like I wanted such privilege. I tried ripping out that silver spoon but it got crammed right back in when I was found." According to the news you were found by the police during an inspection of some nearby docks.

"You make it sound as if you'd rather have stayed missing." Honestly you didn't know why you were being so truthful to a guy who clearly wanted to be a hero. You guessed you were just not in the mood to lie.

"I was happy missing, sure it was tough at first but once I got into the swing of it, I felt... free." You swiped your hand through the air to accentuate your missed feeling of freedom. Dabi was the best thing that had ever happened to you, and he was goodness knows where doing whatever without you. You just wanted to see him again.

"You're still free, you realise, you're just safe as well." He was baffled by you and how you described your life. It was completely backwards to how he saw it, which made him believe that there was a lot he didn't know.

"You know, I'm pretty sure you're supposed to introduce yourself to someone before asking them personal questions and offering advice." You started feeling melancholy thinking about your past so you decided to change to subject. You chose to playfully berate his lack of manners instead.

"Oh my bad," he expressed sarcastically, rolling his hand through the air, "the name's Shinso Hitoshi, and you are?"

"(Y/N), which I'm guessing you knew because you seemed to know what I was talking about when I mentioned my absence from the general public." He nodded in agreement at that and stared into your striking eyes. The colours swirled around somehow, mixing and changing, it was as if they held a universe.

"So... what's your quirk then, Shinso?" You were quite curious, you had sneaked a peek at his aura earlier and saw that he had a psychological one, you guessed that he must've bombed the practical entrance exam because of this.

"Ah, wouldn't want to reveal that and lose my only advantage in the sports festival, now would we?" You clicked your tongue at his answer in disappointment. He seemed confident enough to have a good one and it's aura was pretty. You trailed your eyes over him, he was surrounded by a violet hue with spots of pink that had the signature shimmer of a mind quirk.

"My eyes are up here." You shot your surveying eyes back up to his as your face was flood with warmth. Unfortunately for you he was close enough to see the slight embarrassment on your face as you shuffled onto your back again, to stare at the sky once more.

"Don't flatter yourself, I was looking at your aura." You explained hurriedly not wanting to give him the wrong idea, as if you'd go for an aspiring hero. The whole idea repulsed you, giving you an almost regurgitative reaction at just the thought.

"My... aura?" He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, still on his side observing you. You sighed and rolled back onto your side to face him.

"Yeah, every quirk emits a unique aura, I have the ability to see the auras when I wish to. You can sort them into different categories though and yours falls under the psychological one." You watched as he processed the information you just told him. It was kind of adorable when his nose scrunched up while figuring out what you meant.

"So that's your quirk?"

"One of them." You shrugged and made your way to stand up wiping off the back of your skirt. You gave him a mock two fingered salute, "Well I'll see you at the sports festival, I guess." And with that you wandered off.

"Wha-? Wait (Y:N)?! What do you mean one of... them." He trailed off and sighed to himself as he watched your fading figure. He quite enjoyed your chat, you didn't find it completely insufferable either. Little did you know you'd both be seeing a lot more of each other in the future.
