It took you forty five minutes to get the hang of flying again and you're pretty sure you had about six concussions within that time. It was night now and you and Tokoyami were walking back to the reasonably priced hotel rooms the school had booked for you. The air was cold and crisp and you felt like every other lamppost flickered. In other words, it was perfect. You hummed a tune as you walked with a slight skip in your step.

"You seem happy, (Y:N). Did training go well for you?" You were surprised that Tokoyami was starting a conversation with you. You had only talked a few times before but only for things like 'hey can you pass me that?' You stopped humming and schooled your walk back into it's usual form.

"It was... nice to use my wings again. I forgot how much I missed flying. What about you?" You glanced at him from the corner of your eye quickly, seeing that his expression was as unreadable as ever. 'And I thought I had a good poker face.'

"Darklaws is an apt and experienced teacher, I am lucky to be learning from her. She has already given me a lot of guidance." He replied seriously, nodding with his hand on his chin. You always respected how calm and well spoken he was, you often struggled to explain what you wanted how you wanted.

"Lucky. Hawks just laughed at me whenever I went wrong." Your shoulders slumped at the sound of his husky laughter reverberating in that gym. You guys walked on for a little longer in silence before you spoke again. "So what's Darklaws quirk?"

"She harnesses darkness to create eight large clawed hands from her back. Her quirk works the same way as mine except dark shadow can think for itself." The image of the woman from earlier with multiple hands protruding from her back is one you could definitely see scaring some villains away. You just nodded slowly and let out a tiny "cool."

"So you just sit up here and wait for something to go wrong?" You asked the man who was perched on the rooftop before you. You stood next to him and looked quizzically down at him as he hummed as a response and stayed focused on the street. You smirked to yourself and tapped him with your foot making him lose balance. He let out a slight yelp and almost fell off the ledge before he steadied himself.

You laughed at his reaction but gave out the same noise when a hand planted itself on your back and pushed you completely off of the building. Air rushed past your ears and you could see the ground getting closer and closer. "HAWKS YOU PRICK" you shouted as you spread your wings to glide through the air. You flapped your wings to keep yourself steady as the number three hero stepped off of the edge to join you.

You punched him on the arm to express your distaste at his actions as he laughed in your face. When he wouldn't stop laughing you shoved him hard and silenced him with a glare. "Shouldn't you be concentrating on hero work? You scolded and turned your back to him.

"You started it, plus nine times out of ten you hear the danger before you see it." He argued, swooping round to float in front of you. The wind tussled his hair as he gave you a playful smirk.

"Well maybe you just have terrible observation skills." You retorted and flew back up to the top of the building to sit down on the ledge. He crouched down beside you and it was peaceful for a while. That peace, however, was soon broken by a red feather tickling the back of your neck, which made you lurch forward sending you off of the building again.

"HAWKS I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!"

"Snap!" You slammed your hand down on the pile of cards between you and Tokoyami violently, practically shouting. You were extremely competitive and card games, no matter how trivial, were no exception. Although you were starting to realise that maybe you should dial it back a bit since the beaked boy opposite you wasn't nearly as into it.
