Your conversation with Shoto had actually been quite pleasant. You'd found out that although he liked cats, he preferred dogs. He liked golden retrievers, plain, smart and reliable - just like him. He seemed to have gone into deep thought when you pointed that out to him which was ever so slightly adorable but you'd never admit that. It was now Thursday, the deadline for you to choose where you'd intern and you were no closer to making a decision. You've always been indecisive.

"Just go with the highest ranking hero that gave you an offer!" Somehow, Bakugo had managed to pry out the reason for your current troubles during lunch. Mina, she insisted that you call her that now, had dragged you to sit with their group today.

"But what if they're not right for me? Sure I don't actually care about becoming a hero but I'd like to further my abilities and quirk." Now, though your original strategy was to be cold and aloof towards your classmates, they bothered you anyway and your a talkative person at heart so you decided fuck it, you're talking to them.

"Wait, so why do you even come here then?" Kaminari scratched his head, voicing his query. You literally face palmed at this as Sero lightly shoved Kaminari's head.

"It was either this or jail remember?!" Sero shook his head at the stupidity of his friend as Kaminari's mouth made the shape of an 'o'. Mina laughed at the little exchange before slinging an arm around your shoulders, which made you flinch and stiffen, not used to such casual contact.

"Well you had an offer from Hawks right? He has wings too plus he's like totally hot!" You cringed at her reasoning, truth is that you knew he would probably be the best choice but you were apprehensive.

"I don't even know why he put in that offer, I've met him once and it didn't end well for him." Everyone's eyes shot wide open at your statement, even the ever scowling Bakugo looked a bit surprised.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Kirishima chimes in from beside Bakugo. He was curious about how you'd met him, he was the number three hero after all.

"Well he may have picked me up once for... stealing, but I managed to slip away purely by accident." Sounds of gasps and 'what?'s' and Bakugo's signature 'huh?' erupted from the table. It was honestly complete luck that you escaped. Hawks is one to be reckoned with and you weren't dumb enough to just start a fight with him. Someone fell off of their roof and on the split second he was distracted helping them, you ran. Not your best work but you didn't care that much.

The more you thought about it, the more Hawks' offer appealed to you. You were out of practice with your wings, you didn't even know if you could still fly properly. He could give you some pointers. Though your wings are quite different they're still wings. You had decided, Hawks it is. You got up abruptly and left the cafeteria, ignoring their calls, and headed to the teachers lounge to give in your internship form.

"Well, well, well... I didn't expect you to accept." There he stood right in front of you and Tokoyami. He seemed a bit bulkier than the last time you saw him. Tokoyami stood to attention next to you stoic as always. Hawks was staring into your eyes currently with a friendly and casual look on his face.

"It's an honour to be here, sir." Tokoyami voiced out, dipping into a bow. The thought that you were supposed to follow suit crossed your mind, but you didn't. You stood still with your hands crossed over your chest, leant with all your weight on one leg as the other was  casually kicked out to the side slightly.

"Oh no need to be so formal, I'm excited to work with you both." He replied cheerfully hands staying stuck in his pocket. You inspected his wings. Unlike yours they were made out of actual feathers that were coloured a deep red shade. You pouted inwardly at the fact that his were bigger than yours, which made sense given the fact that he was taller than you.
