Stefans POV:

It's 4am right now. And I'm currently in bed with a sleeping Elena by my side. I have to leave before anybody wakes up, including Elena. I have to meet somebody. I'll just have to leave a note on her nightstand. Something about I'll be busy running errands with my mom in town all day, even though I'm not. I think she won't be up til 1pm. Which is what I need her to do. I can't have her find out about this. Now my exit route...

I've finally made it down from the window and now I have to go home shower and change and go to Trinity's. I can't wait.

——————————Time skip—————————

It's now half past 6 and I'm on my way to the café to meet her. Hopefully people won't recognize us. After a few minutes on the road I pull into the parking lot and I see her car. I look into the building through the café window and see her seated in the corner. I parked my car and headed inside.

I open the door and she looks up and then she smiles when she realized it was me. I walk over and gave her a hug and then we took our seats on different sides of the table. We had small talks and ate some breakfast then we had to discuss... the topic.
"So..." i said while nervously chuckling. "It's been a few weeks since we met up and started this. And weI know this is a surprise, so we'll figure it out and see how it goes." She said. "I don't want Elena to find out about this. This is huge and it's also a first. Elena finding out about this... I can't even begin to think of that." I said. All these different thoughts are flying around in my head. "We'll figure something out and how to go about it. And this will only be between you and I. Nobody will find out about this, guaranteed. I do suggest we get out of here before anyone sees us together and suspects something. I'll call you where to meet next." She said swiftly. We both get up. I look down at my phone and it's already 6 past 8. Damn. That was fast. I give her a short hug then back away. "You're right. Well it was ni-" Suddenly my phone rings.

Elenas POV:
6:30am

I woke up from a cold breeze hitting my bare legs. It's cold. I need to warm up. I stretch hoping to feel the body heat of Stefan, but instead my hand is met with wrinkled sheets. I look over and the bed is empty. I look around. Usually he leaves a ... note. On my night stand. I open it up and it reads....

'Dear Elena,
I'm sorry I didn't wake you up. You just looked so comfy and tired. But I had to leave early because mom has some errands she needs help with. I love you with all of me.

Talk to you later, Stefan.

All that is so sweet. Stefan is someone whom I'm looking to spend the rest of my life with, because I don't know if I can live without him. To know that he takes care of him makes me so sure that he will take care of me in the long run. Even though he is treating me very very well. Hopefully he feels the same way about our future together. I should get ready and head down to the café. Wow! Look at me! Actually getting up and off the bed before noon. I'm so proud of you.

I finally finish getting ready and it's now 7:58. I grab my car keys and bag and head towards my car to start driving to the café. I'm probably gonna grab some breakfast to go and call Stefan what he's up to. After a few minutes of driving I pull into Trinity's Café. Oh Stefans here. He and his mom are probably having breakfast. As I was about to head up the steps I see him stand up and I smiled. Then I was looking for his mom, but instead I saw Caroline?

What is she doing here? Is he cheati- no of course not. I start tearing up a bit. I'm looking at them... together. Suddenly I feel an ache in my heart. Stay strong! He's a good boyfriend Elena, I tell myself. Why is Caroline here with him and why is he here with her? I'm overreacting. And then he hugs her... is he serious right now?!!! I pull out my phone and call him. "Hey, love. You're up!" He said. I see him tell Caroline she can leave. "Yes. And I'm wondering where you're at?" I see his side profile and I see his smile. "Oh um well, I'm out having breakfast with mum." He said chuckling and watching Caroline walk out. I see her smiling as she walks out, but once she lifted her head and saw me her faced dropped like she's seen a ghost. Instead of keeping my eyes on her I turn them towards Stefan.

"Really? I didn't know Caroline was your mother Stefan." I said sharply with tears now flowing down my cheeks. His smile drops and he turns to look out the window and we make eye contact. "How- I- " he stutters. "I don't want to see your face ever again. You two timing liar!" I said. "Wait! Babe! Ele-" I hung up the phone and walked towards my car. I hear the café door open.  And footsteps coming towards me.

Next thing I hear is, "Elena! Wait! Its not what it seems like! Please." I got to my car opened the door and closed it. Then Stefan comes up knocking on the window. "Elena! Please. Let me explain." At this point I'm sobbing. I turn my car on. I row my window down a bit. And told him while choking on words a bit, "I deserve better than this. You just lied to me. If you got bored of me, all you had to do was tell me. And break up with me. I didn't know you were like this. I- Have a nice life Stefan Salvatore." "Baby ple-" I pull out of the parking lot. He's constantly tapping the car.

"It's not what you think. I swear. Don't do this please." "It's over. Don't call me again." I drive off. with my vision all blurry from tears. I still hear him. "Elena! Elena!..."
