No One Comes Close To You

Chapter II

Grayson's POV

It's been four years since I come back home from Prague. I got a resident visa in Prague due to my work.  The headquarter of Healthy United  Enterprises is in Czech Republic. It was my dream country. My family live there already after I was given a chance to become a CEO last year. This is my second year in the company as a CEO.
Now,I'm coming back to the Philippines.
I smiled as I smelled the air I missed. I truly missed this place.
I am Grayson Harry Montez. I am  thirty two years old.
I received a call from the school I have studied before. They want me to give a speech during the ceremony if I have time during my stay here.
I dragged my suitcase inside the hotel. I have five days here.
I put my shades on my eyes and drove off to visit the school. I don't know why but I am excited to see someone there.
I rented a car since I didn't have one. I already sold the car to my uncle before.
I parked the car on the parking area as the security guard instructed me. The building is already tenth storey and it looks new. Their company is doing well. I smiled. I fix my coat and walked inside. The receptionist greeted me with full smile. I smiled at her.
"Good afternoon Sir."
"Hi,"
"Do you have appointment sir?"
"No,but I'd like to see Ms. Jonah Fernan."
"May I know your name sir?"
"Grayson Harry Montez."
She put it on her computer. She pick up the phone and called someone.
"Sir,you may go to Tenth floor. Ms. Jonah is there. "
I nodded my head and went to the elevator.
The elevator opened and a petite woman came out. Her short brown hair made her skin looks bright. She was wearing her white long sleeves and a jeans. She has glasses on her eyes. Her face is looking straight and ignored me.
"Miss Finn,someone named Grayson Harry Montez is here."
"Okay. Jonah is there in her office."
Miss Finn? I turned my back and looked at her. She's walking towards the main door. Is she Finn?Exactly? The door opened.
I got inside.
I went out from the elevator and go straight to Jonah's office.
I knocked three times.
"Come in."
I got inside. She stood up. Oh my dearest sister.
"Hi,sis."
"How are you doing?" She said. She led me to the sofa in front of her table.
"Yeah,I'm pretty fine. I had five days vacation."
"It's good timing. We have ceremony this week. "
"Yeah. I guess. So do you still go to Prague this holiday?"
"Hmm,yeah. "
"Really?"
"Have you seen Finn?"
"Oh yeah,we met in the elevator."
"Did you greet her?"
"No,she ignored me."
"Tsk,that woman is getting worst."
I laughed.
"How are you by the way?"
"Well,so far so good. The company is running smoothly. So life is."
I comfortably sat on the sofa facing her. Jonah is a very good friend of mine. Her boyfriend is my best friend. He's a Portuguese.
"Is Alec coming too?" She asked me. I laughed.
"Why are you asking me? Did he not tell you about his schedule?"
"Nah,that man is crazy. He would just appear in front of me suddenly. Well,he sometimes forget that he has a girlfriend."
"Don't worry,he's not cheating. He's very busy with his company."
"That's good."
"What should I tell in my speech? Is Finn coming to the ceremony?"
"Of course that's our General Manager."
I laughed again. I remembered how I annoyed her before. She was my Japanese mentor before.
"Can you help me?"
"Fine. You make a draft today then I'll check it out tomorrow. You still have a day to prepare."
I stayed there for about an hour.
"Where is she going?" I asked her. She smiled at me.
"She got a call from her mother. Her aunt arrived from New York."
"Oh. "
"Alec told me. You had a girl in your mind before. Care to tell me?"
"Nothing."
"Don't you like to settle down?"
"I don't have plans."
"Tsk,Finn too. "
"I have to focus on my business first."
"Well,you both are business minded people. You are engrossed to things you are doing right now."
"Is there someone who hit on Finn?"
"I don't think there is."
"She's too plain. That's why."
"Plain?are you crazy? Have you seen her wearing different ones?"
"No. Only the sleeves and the jeans."
"Poor Finn."
"Will she come in Prague?"
"I'm not sure. She doesn't like to leave this building."
"You stay in my place. I have big house. My family is living with me."
"Really?"
"Yeah. You don't have to book for a hotel and buy foods while you are there.I think I have to go. I'll send you via email my draft. Please check it tomorrow. I have meeting tomorrow so I can't come."
"Alright. Thanks for coming."
"By the way,this is for all of you."
I gave the paper bag which is full of chocolates.
"Does Finn like it?"
"She never eats chocolate. "
"What?"
"Yeah,she has allergy on sweets. Don't forget that one okay?"
"Fine."
"I think you should start thinking about her." She winked at me.
"Never happens."
"Well,we don't know. The ball is still rolling."
"Jonah!I can still remember what she did to me before."
"What?"
"She let me memorize all the kanji and it's meaning for one night. Do you remember when I was absent the next day? I had a fever. I almost died because of her. Then she let me make an essay using kanji. How can a Filipino write an essay in Kanji when only four months studying Japanese language??"
I exclaimed and almost swearing in front of her friend. Jonah is looking at me worriedly.
"She's terrible teacher. I regret I studied Japanese here."
She smiled anxiously while looking to someone at my back.
"But I am happy though " I said. I closed my eyes since I already know who is at my back. The subject of my sentence. I can imagine her scary face looking at my back. Good thing I was sitting on the sofa. Why I'm still scared of her?
"Oh,you're here. "She said while putting the files on Jonah's table.
" hi."
"Nice to see you." When she said it,she left right after. We were speechless.
"Why didn't you tell me,she's here already?"
"Well,I was shocked too."
"She's still serious and strict."
