No One Comes Close To You

Chapter XIV

This morning,we ate together with Jonah and Lee.
Their husbands were their too. Harry is very silent during the meal.
"What's your plan today?"
"I' m not sure. How about you?"
"We'll go shopping. Do you want to come with us?"
"No. I want to stay here."
"You should go out. Maybe next day will have snowy weather. You can't enjoy anymore." Jonah said.
"I'm fine. "
"I'm sorry Finn,we have less time with you."
"It's okay. No problem with me. You have this chance for your husband. Not all day you would have this in the Philippines. So just enjoy."
They hugged me.

After we had breakfast,they left. I remained in my bed and read books. His books for sure.
He knocked the door.
"I'm going to call you after my meeting."
"Okay."
He nodded his head.
Why he's change?
I waited for him until in the evening. But he never called me. I was very sad. The day passed by not doing anything.
Until I went to sleep he never came up.
At midnight,I received a message from him.
"I'm sorry,I had a long meeting this afternoon. I made a short trip in London. I'll be back tomorrow. "
I cried.
I dialed his number.
It takes a long time he answered the call.
"Hello!" He said in a low voice.
"Are you okay?" I asked him.
"Yeah. It's still midnight. "
"Were you sleeping already?"
"Almost. I just got in the hotel. I had conference."
"Okay. Did you eat your dinner?"
"I haven't had one. I drank tea."
"You should eat too. Gray."
"Yeah. Sleep now."
"What time will you come back home?"
"Before you wake up."
"Okay. Rest now too."
"Yeah. "
"Bye."
"Bye "
"Good night. "
"Night. "
"Take care okay?"
"I will."
"See you tomorrow."
"What do you want for me to bring?"
"Anything will do."
"Okay. Bye now. Sleep well. "
"Bye. We are still in a relationship right?"
"Fake relationship to be exact."
"Bye,I miss you."
"Miss you too. "
" I love you Gray."
"Should I answer that one too?"
"You should, tell me now."
He became quiet on the other line.
"Good night. I love you hon." He said. I feel I was about to cry when he said that.
"Night."
I never turned off my phone until I fall asleep.

The next day, I saw a long stemmed white rose on the table. There's a box of chocolate too. I immediately got up and took a shower.
I went down to have breakfast again.
I saw no one there.
"Where are they?"
My phone rang.
"Hello,good morning." I answered. Not checking who's calling me.
"Good morning." He said.  I was stunned.
"Where are you?"
"In the office. We'll go out later. Prepare yourself."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Okay."
"Come to the office at ten. I'm finished with my work during that time."
"Okay."
He ended the call. I couldn't even thank him for his gift to me. At eight I prepared myself. I wore my best dress and go to his office. Everyone is looking at me.
I encountered his father in the elevator.
"You're beautiful today Finn."
"Thank you Mr. Montez."
"Call me Daddy. I don't have daughter. So you are most suitable to call me that one."
I laughed at him.
"Thank you,d-dad."
"Good sound."
He got off first.
When I arrived in my floor,I feel worried. I knocked his door.
"Come in."
I get inside and to find out Amy is there. His staff.
"Good morning,Miss Montenegro."
"Good morning "
He stare at me.
Amy went out.
"Why she's here?"
"Work."
"Okay."
He stood up and got his coat on the rack. He motioned me to the door.
"Let's go."
"Yes."

We went out his building. Only for one day and next day,we will never be like this anymore.

He drove to the port. He got us ticket and I waited for him at the waiting area.
"Let's go."
He held my arms as we board on the boat. He stayed by my side throughout the trip. It's getting hot outside so we entered. He ordered fruit juice for me. We sat down on the vacant table near the window. We can still see the city. The water is really clear and deep.
"Do you like it?"
"Yeah."
"Good."
It's seven hours cruise. I enjoyed watching the sunset and the city. We took picture together.
He hugged me from the back while we watched the sunset. It was just like the same in the romantic movies.
"I'm sorry for what I did yesterday." He said.
"It's okay."
" I love your side who never gives up from being stubborn. No one can do that except you. "
"Really?"
"Yeah. You really wanted to do the things you want to do. Do you think everything comes in your own way?"
"Yeah. I believe it."
"Really?"
"Yeah. "
He pulled his arms off from me. He stood beside me. I put my arms on his arms.
"I love you." I said. He looked at me.
"I love you too." He answered.
"We're crazy right? I thought we couldn't do this. You are CEO but you did this with me. "
"You are general manager too."
"Yeah. I want to try to have a boyfriend even just for fake. "
"Why?"
"I want to. In reality I can't do it."
"You can. "
"No one can stay with me with this attitude. You even get tired of me with this personality I have. Thank you for doing this to me. I appreciate it."
"You're welcome."
"Am I a good girlfriend?"
"You are. "
"Really?"
"Hmm. You are. The most beautiful fake girlfriend I have in my life."
We laughed.
It went dark. Snowflakes are falling already. I opened my hands and try to catch some.
"Wow. It's snowing."
We are far from his place. His face looks worried.
"There's heavy snow next to this town. We can't go back home."
"What? What should we do?"
"Look for a hotel."
