Chapter XII

Gray's POV

I was out of mind when I agreed  Finn's favor. To become her boyfriend is really difficult. My feelings towards  her grew deeper when she got sick. But now, I feel excited knowing I could stay close to her. I'm happy that we just pretend to be  couple at least my feelings towards her will be given a chance to show to her. One thing she knew is I'm just pretending. I didn't know before but I'm really annoyed and got irritated with her personality. I don't like her for being like that. But now,I was able to know her when we are outside my house. She was so sweet. I like when she suddenly put her arms on my arms. I feel she's seeking for strength from me.
I was smiling unconsciously when my father got inside in my office.
"What makes you smile today,Grayson?" He asked me. He sat down on the sofa in front of me.
"Nothing dad."
"How was your trip with the investor? I have heard Finn came with you."
"Yeah,it was fine. They go out today too."
"Oh. Finn is a good businesswoman."
"I guess so."
"Well,if I were you,I'm going to court her."
"Dad!"
"Fine. I didn't say anything."
We talked about business. He is more busy than me. He has a lot of business trips.
I focused on the paper works that were piled up on my table.
Suddenly my phone message ringtone appeared. It was from Finn.
"I'm going now. "
I chuckled as I typed a reply for her.
"Don't drink a lot."
Then she called me.
"Hello,"
"Hey,are you busy?" She asked me.  I leaned back on my chair.
"A little."
"Ahh..okay. Boyfriends usually call their girlfriends. Why you didn't call me?"
I laughed.
"It slipped in my mind."
"It's okay. If you have real girlfriend in  the future,don't forget to call her once. "
"Okay."
"She's here. I have to go. Eat your meal. Bye."
"Bye---" I didn't finish my sentence since she ended the call abruptly. I worked again.
I haven't eaten my lunch. I forget it due to my hectic schedule. I went home immediately. It's 9 already.
"Finn?"
"She's still out. They must have enjoyed too much."
"I think so too."

I watched TV while waiting for her. She never called me and her phone is out of coverage. I began to worry because she just got better from fever. And now she's drinking.
At ten,the door opened and a smiling Finn entered..
"Oh,you're still here?"
"Yeah,I'm watching TV."
"Okay." She walked past on me and climbed the stairs slowly. Her sling bag was still on her shoulder. She is drunk.
My phone rang.
"Hello,good evening Mr. Suzuki."
"Harry,Thank you so much,my wife is really happy to be with Finn. But is Finn okay? She was throwing up a lot earlier."
I massaged my temple.
"Maybe she's fine."
I followed Finn on her room which is my room too.
I saw her taking off her shirts. I close the door for me. After thirty minutes, I opened it again. She's lying on the bed.
"Hey,are you're okay?"
I asked her.
"I'm fine." She turned her back at me. She stared at my face sleepily. She raised her hands and touched my face.
"Gray,why are you so kind to me? I'm terrible to you." She said. I pulled the cover up to her chest.
"Good night."
"Good night,Gray."
She snuggled on the soft fabric. I looked at her intently. My heart beats so fast. She got my hand and held it firmly.
"I'm going to sleep too. Let me go."
"Later. I feel bad."
I took a deep breath. This woman is really terrible.
I stayed in the room for over two hours. I almost felt asleep when she got up to go to the bathroom to throw up. I followed her there.
"Water." I gave her the glass of water.
"I'm sorry." She said to me. She leaned on my chest.
"Do you still want to drink?"
She shook her head to disagree. I caressed her back to comfort her.
She cleaned the sink before she went back to bed.
"You can go now." She said.  She pulled the covers up to her neck and closed her eyes.
"Good night." I said. I tapped her shoulder and stood up. She opened her eyes.
"Night and thank you."
That word melt my heart. Now,she knows how to say it but sad to say,she was drunk. I nodded my head.
It was her third day and she almost changed her  old ways. I'm happy with that.
I left the room. I saw Jonah.
"How is she?"
"She's drunk."
"Oh,but she's okay right?"
"Yeah."
"Thanks Harry. I really trust you."
"Thanks. "
"Do you like her now?"
"A little."
"What?"
I laughed at her.
"Good night sis."
"Good night bro."
I entered my father's room. I saw him there already on the bed.
"How is Finn?"
"She's fine."
"Good. I thought you leave her alone since she's annoying for you."
"Maybe not anymore dad."
"What you're both getting married?"
"Dad? Why marriage?"
"Harry,you're not that young to stay alone. If you have time,get married or else you will forget time and it takes you far. I want you to get married. Please don't be alone in the future. Life is beautiful living with someone else "
"Okay. I'll think of that."
What would be my life living with her?
I don't know what's happening to me but the feeling I have now for her is getting deeper.
What should I do then?
I sleep beside my father.
My father never loves anyone except my mother. My grandmother loves my grandfather too. They both live with their love. How about me? Am I going to live with my love for her secretly or should I tell her?
I'm afraid she would play with my feelings. I'm scared she would reject me. I have many things in my mind that made me scared if I would tell her. I'm afraid she will never talk to me anymore.  She would change and never give any damn attention to me.

Not! I pulled the duvet and forget what I have decided.
I'll think of that tomorrow. Now,I have to sleep and dream for good things with her.
What a sad one sided love you have,Harry!! I said to myself.
"Harry,let's sleep."
"Yah!"
Did I say it loud?
"Yes,son."
"Daddy!"
My father laughed at me.
"You must love someone else."
"What should I do then?"
"You must tell her."
"What if she reject me?"
"At least you try. Just by thinking,nothing will happen."
"Okay,sleep now."
He tapped my back. I closed my eyes and then everything went to black.
