No One Comes Close To You

Chapter V

Grayson's POV

I saw her left in the venue. Everyone is happy talking with one another. I was sitting with Alec and Jonah. They were like a newly wed in their situation.
"I gotta go. " I stood up and drank the remaining wine in the glass.
"So early for you to go back to the hotel."
"I'll visit my grandmother tomorrow."
I marched to the door. I immediately went to the carpark.  There, I saw her.
"What are you doing?"
I asked her. She's standing near her car.
"My tire is flat. I don't know how to change." She said in a relax but low voice.
"Where's your spare tire?" I asked her. She looked at the compartment of her car. I got her spare tire.
"Do you have tools?" She shook her head.
"What's the use of having spare tire if you don't have tools? "
I got my own tools and started to fix her car.
"You don't have to do it. I might commute today."
"Just say thank you."
I continued doing it while she's standing there and watching me.
After thirty minutes,I got all sweat all over my body. I took off my long sleeves and changed for a simple shirt. I usually bring extra shirt. I don't know why I do that but for emergency purposes.
"Here's the pay." She gave me one thousand bill. I laughed sarcastically.
"I have a lot of money. You don't have to pay me. " I was hurt when she did that. I got in my car and started the engine. I drove off not saying any good bye to her. Because she owe me a gratitude, she has to pay me with her money. I'm not a mechanic. Crazy!
I went back to my hotel. My phone rang and it was my father.
"Hello,dad?"
"Grayson,son, when are you coming back?"
"After tomorrow, dad,why?"
"You have a meeting with our new investor. They want to meet the CEO rather than our sales representative."
"Sure."
"Okay. Thanks. Visit your grandma before you come here. Or else she would feel upset again."
"Yeah,I'll visit her tomorrow."
"Better. Bye for now."
He ended the call. I took off the wireless headset on my ears. I concentrated on the road. Then her face came into my mind again.
"That woman really pissed me off. "
I arrived in the hotel and went directly to shower. I want to refresh my mind.
On the shower,the situation earlier keep on coming back to my mind.
I wiped my body with a clean towel. Then came out from the bathroom. I wore my pajama pants and dove into the comfortable bed. I was really tired today. I got the deal with Fitness Tea Incorporated, made a speech in her ceremony and fixed her car.

It's late when I woke up. I head to the  bathroom to take a shower.
I have to visit my grandmother in her hometown. She is the mother of my father. 
I bought fruits which is her favorite. She is going to blend it and made it as her drink in the morning. Now,she has good skin and healthy bones. She's still beautiful at the age of 89.
"Grayson,my grandson,how are you doing?" She was really happy when she saw me at the door. Her house helper was very busy cleaning the house.
"I'm fine,granny."
"Are you alone coming here?"
"Yeah,as usual. Why?what do you mean grandma?"
"I thought you will introduce your wife to me now." She's smiling at me.
"Granny,I don't have plan to get married."
"Tsk,I want to see you settling down before I die hijo. I want to see your children running around this house."
"I'm sorry to disappoint you,granny but my heart is not working right now. I didn't feel any excitement towards women instead hatred and anger."
"What?whom do you feel angry? She might be your other half,Grayson. When we met with your grandfather, I totally hate him but later on,I fell in love with him so much."
"That's your story granny."
"But can be repeated again in you."
"C'mon,please get married. Life with someone you love is beautiful. You have someone to talk to during your difficult times in your company. When you got sick,someone can take care of you. When you feel down,her hands are just so perfect rubbing your back to ease the pain."
"Granny." We sat down on the sofa. I put the basket full of fruits on the table.
"How is your father? He told me to come to Prague this Winter. I'm worried. It's cold in there."
"You'll stay at home. Please come,granny."
"Yeah, I had bought already my ticket. My helper will come with me."
The helper is younger than me.
"Why is she so young?"
"She's kind and hardworking woman."
"That's good."
"Yeah. She has a boyfriend. Sometimes he comes here to visit her."
"It's okay as long as they don't do anything stupid"
"He's good too. He's a detective."
"Nice."
" How is the company? "
"It's doing good. Now,we had new clients. I got the deal with Fitness Tea Incorporated. That company is an international too."
"Wow,good job!"
"I'm hooked on with my work now,granny,I enjoyed doing all those things."
"But too much is not good to you. Please find time to be with women."
Women? Then I remembered her face.
"I've heard that you made a speech in your previous school. How was it?"
"It's fine."
"How is your teacher? I met her last month. She's pretty."
"She's fine. Getting more pride. Very proud of herself. Very insensitive to other people."
"Grayson,are you referring to her when you said about anger and hatred? You sound just what she is."
"Yeah,she is. "
"It's been three years ago when you had that feeling. You almost swore at her face for letting you make an essay in Nihonggo."
I smiled.
"She's annoying because of her attitude."
"But look at you now,you are confident and looking smart."
"I was too."
"Tsk,she helped you. Don't forget that."
"Yesterday,I helped her fixing her car but instead of saying thank you to me,she handed me one thousand peso bill! Am I mechanic to her? She's unbelievable. I hate her."
"Maybe she doesn't like to take advantage to you. "
"I don't know."
"Fine. But I like her. She's the epitome of good wife and a mother."
"Granny!"
"Be good to her. "
"Duh,you can wish anything but not that one,granny!"
She laughed at me.
"You really hate her. Well maybe it would change in the future. If I'm right,then I'm willing to give you my share in the Company."
"What?"
"Yeah,I still have 30% share in the company. It could be a big help to you. That will be my wedding gift for both of you."
"Granny. No."
"I don't know why but I'm comfortable with her. The last time we met,it was in the mall. We were in the counter. She let me sit down and she did bring all my items and paid. My helper was not there that time. I had few things to buy so I went alone. She's so kind to do that for me. Then I remembered she was your teacher. I saw her during your ceremony. She looks so strict but she smiled sweetly at me. "
"Do you think I can have peaceful life with her?"
"Yeah?"
"No,everyday is a misery."
"Forgive her actions yesterday."
"No."
"Grayson,you're being a stubborn head right now. Please be good to her."
"By the way,granny,I'll be going back to Prague tomorrow. We'll wait for you there."
"Sure."
I stayed the whole day talking with her about Finn. She really likes her.
