Her stomach rumbles
Reminding her of her hunger.
She suppresses the feeling
By drinking another liter of water. Her brother runs into the house, with a painful frown.
"I am hungry."
He starts to cry, his stomach empty.
She feels like she has let him down. The cupboards empty, money is rare necessity.
The job she has, pays her little for the work she puts in.
The world reminds them of how cruel it is
When the eviction notice stares at her, waiting to be seen. The world robbed her of opportunity.
The world robbed him of a family.
The need to eat is killing them slowly.
The need to have money has her slaving.Poverty is not a beautiful thing.
It has us becoming desperate, which the demon loves to see.
