Hi to all readers,
Well here's another chapter,
Please enjoy.

Kong

-'Every night a truck pulls up to my neighbourhood Bagel place and pumps about a ton of flour into the underground tanks and then the air is filled with white dust that never seems to land. Why is that? "-

Arthit

-'Confession. I have read Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy about 200 times. I get lost in the comedy. Things like:- What 42 actually means? Mankind's intelligence over the dolphins. I'm always in wonder wether time is really an illusion and lunchtime doubly so. Try reading it. I know you'll love it.'-

Kong

-'My local càfé is great for helping people decide on what coffee they want to drink. Even with a choice of six different decisions to make..short, tall, dark, light, cafe, de-cafe, low-fat, no-fat, ect. So for people who don't know what their doing or don't know who they are, can for only 90 Baht get, not just a cup of coffee but an absolutely defining sense of self.'-

Arthit

Like every morning this week Arthit's walk to work felt uplifting. Every morning and evening he would receive messages that would make him smile and feel renewed.

He had noticed the place where the new building now stands, when it was an old department store. When the men, in very expensive looking suits, had stood on the pavement looking interested in the abandoned building. When the big bulldozers had come and spent an extremely short time, and a lot of noise, knocking down and flattening the area. Even when the workers had arrived after that and the scaffold had gone up and even more noisy hammering and drilling could be heard coming from the place. So it really wasn't a surprise when Kao burst through the shop door, when the day had just begun, telling them all to follow him because they won't believe what he's just seen.

"A real bummer, I'm telling you" Kao exclaims.

The three younger men stood on the pavement, starring at the building. It was still covered in the white sheets but a giant painted sign now reads in giant letters "COMING SOON LEO GADGETS SUPERSTORE" . Under this is a detailed drawing of a lions head wearing a pair of headphones. Under that is written :- and it's all just around the corner. Arthit has to admit it does look impressive.

"A Leo Gadgets superstore." Kao sighs.

" What a total nightmare" Rome sighs.

"Look, it has nothing to do with us." Arthit says, indifferent. "It's big, impersonal, over stocked and full of ignorant sales people who probably have no idea what their on about."

Kao sighs again, " but I bet they discount. "

" So what? They don't provide a service, we do."

Kao and Rome both nod at that. They return to the store, each wondering what might happen next. The news that a bigger gadgets place was opening nearby had really dampened all their moods.

Arthit tried not to let it get to him or even think about it, choosing to concentrate more on the here and now. The day still wore on. The stock still needed to be sorted and inventory still needed to be checked. Customers still came and went and for the rest of the morning his thoughts and feelings we're pushed to the back of his mind. Every time he was alone through, it would reappear like a bad penny and his mood would darken. As the day wore on and it got closer to closing time, it still hadn't budged.

He tries not to let it get to him as he walks into Blue Sky Cafe with Burtie but instead he lets the atmosphere of said cafe lift his mood like it always did. This was one of the places he came to when he was down. This and the bar that Bright had opened before he had left for England. Tutah runs it now with the help of his boyfriend. Both places give him a sense of peace.
