Most Beloved

I had a bad feeling. I don't know why.

"Hyung?" I opened my eyes and looked up at V from my bed. He looked nervous. "Have you seen J—Um, Kitty?"

I made a face. "No."

He sighed. "He should be back by now."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Why? Why would he be back? Why would he need to be back?"

V swallowed. "You."

I rolled my eyes. "Just forget about it, I'm sure he's fine." V nodded and left hesitantly. I laid on my back and stared at the ceiling.

Stop thinking about him. You don't need to see that son of a bitch anymore.

...

I wonder what he's doing. Is he thinking about me?

I couldn't stop myself from remembering his lips on mine. He tasted so good, and his lips were so soft and plush.

ARGH!

I sat up and grabbed my phone. I went to my recents and tried to call Kitty. To my annoyance a faint vibrating noise could be heard from underneath one of his shirts on the ground. I hung up and cursed.

I guess I'll just have to wait for him to come back.

I called V. He picked up.

"You know I'm twenty feet away from you, right?"

"Can you go find Kitty Gang?"

"...What? What'd you just ask me?"

"Don't question it. Can you find him?"

"I mean, I can try."

"Good." I hung up, but just a few seconds later he called again. "What?"

"You know Agust, why don't you go look for him?"

"What?"

"You're always used to hiring people to do your work so why don't you look for him?"

I furrowed my eyebrows. "How do you know that, that's disturbing."

"Just go find him. And if you find him it'll mean a lot to 'im." He hung up.

Great. How great.

After holstering my gun, I got up and left my room, striding down the hallway and then rushing down the stairs. "Where are you going?" Namjoon asked me as I walked past him.

"To look for that son of a bitch." I muttered, not sure if he heard. I stepped out of the house and then slammed the door behind me.

The air was cold and getting colder as winter approached. It was mid November. The month would come and go in a flash, letting December enter to let frost bite our skin.

I passed by memories of before I met Kitty. It wasn't that long ago, was it? It felt like forever had passed since that sticker was glued onto my cheek.

I swallowed. Back to finding Kitty Gang.

I didn't know where in the world he would be. He seemed like the type to roam everywhere. He couldn't stay in one place for very long, or else he'd go crazy. And horny. I closed my eyes.

Stop thinking about it.

"Here Kitty Kitty." I mumbled out of boredness, peeking around a corner. Oh, I realized it was the alley leading to Kitty and V's place. I walked down it and opened the door.

Inside, it was dark. I peered inside what seemed to be their bedroom. Funnily, it smelled like Kitty's cologne. Had he been there recently? Maybe I was imagining it. Yeah, probably.

"Kitty?" I called. I walked out and into what appeared to be a lab. It was abandoned, though. I guess it was the same since V left. I saw a small cylinder on the table, so out of curiosity, I walked up to it.

It was metal, with some kind of clip on top. It looked like a grenade, but a little different. There were words written in Sharpie. It read, "Tear". Tear gas, maybe? I pocketed it.

Something hard and heavy fell to the ground. I looked up and around but saw nothing. I put my hand over my gun anyway. "Who's there?"

I saw something sour if the corner of my eye. I turned, my gun aimed. It wasn't Kitty. Their hands were up innocently, but they held a gun.

"Don't shoot." He said softly. "I'm only following orders."

I eyed him. "And why shouldn't I shoot you?"

"Because I know where your beloved is." He answered simply.

"He's not my—" I huffed. "Where is he?"

"Come with me."

"Who are you?" He didn't answer.

A few seconds later he said, "Come with me or they're going to kill him."

I racked my brain for a solution, but couldn't find any. He knew where Kitty Gang was. But what if he was lying? "How do I know you're not lying."

He held a finger up and then slowly took out his phone. He dialed a number, one of his arms still up. "He wants proof." He said, sounding not nervous at all. He turned the speaker on.

"Proof, huh?" My eyes widened. The voice sounded familiar. "Speak, kitty cat." There was silence. "NOW! Jesus christ, fine. Uh, hey Agust. Nice to... um... know you're there, I guess. Is that proof enough for him?"

I holstered my gun again. "Fine." He hung up.

He nodded. "Come with me."

He put me in the front passenger of a car. It was designed so I couldn't open the door from inside. "What's your name?" I asked calmly, staring through the windshield.

He started the car. "Youngjae." He paused. "I'm sorry. I don't have a choice."

"Who's your boss?"

"You know I can't tell you."

I smirked. "You know I'll find out either way."

He glanced at me and squeezed the steering wheel. "Jackson Wang."
