Jevin's POV

~~~~
Not gonna lie, Ex's behavior was throwing me off a little.
What was he even doing?
First, he rips a hole in the universe to get back here- somehow thinking that was a good idea. Then, he lets people suffer and die because of it. Sure, they respawned, but still.
And then, he lets Badtimes torture a couple of my friends before finally stepping in to help them.
Which just confused me even more. Why was he helping them?
Also, as if I wasn't confused enough, what was going on with Joe and that mysterious book? I had seen Ex give it to him, but I had no idea why it seemed to be so important. And... apparently Joe had powers???
I didn't have a clue what was happening on Hermitcraft anymore.
Which wasn't ideal, considering I was supposed to be taking charge and protecting it.
Maybe it was time to break the silence and actually talk to Ex. My friends were more important than some drama with my ex. (Ex.)
I sent a message in the most annoying way I could think of.
I sat down at my own computers (which used to be X's- although I was crap at coding so I pretty much just used the tech to spy on my ex) and spied on my ex.
Ex was (as I expected) watching me on his computer screens while he drank raspberry tea. Oh, and he was listening to smooth jazz. He noticed that I was watching him, and smiled as he sipped his tea, holding his hand up in a wave.
 I snapped my fingers, making his tea disappear. Well, not disappear- just teleport itself conveniently into my own hands.
I sipped it and smiled innocently, waving back at Ex.
He rolled his eyes and crossed his arms, a slight smirk on his face. "Very cute," He said and snapped his own fingers, taking the tea back from me.
I sighed. I couldn't be bothered to keep up this fight, so I decided to get to the point. "Alright, what are you doing?" I asked, crossing my arms and glaring at him.
"Drinking raspberry tea and listening to smooth jazz while spying on you. What does it look like I'm doing, Jev?"
"Don't call me Jev."
"Cute slime boy?"
"Shut up. I mean, what are your plans? What are your goals? Cause you're acting pretty inconsistent. Mid-life crisis maybe?"
Ex scoffed at that and shrugged, looking down into his tea. "Honestly? I don't really have plans. Plans are soo overrated." He looked back up at his screen, watching me. "And no- not a mid-life crisis. More like... character development inspired by love." He paused. "Or something like that." He shrugged and took another sip of his tea.
I raised my eyebrows. "Uh huh."
The annoying, evil version of Xisuma smirked slightly. "Yeah. So any other questions, cute slime boy?"
I ignored the ridiculous- but adorable nickname and dramatically picked up a notepad. I hummed. "Let's see here," I said, pretending to run my finger down a long list. I put the notepad down and looked back at my ex. "What's the book? The one you gave Joe?"
Ex sighed. "Of course you wouldn't know. Wow, Xisuma didn't tell you much did he?"
Oh nice, now he was rubbing in the fact that X and I barely even got to know each other. If Ex thought this gave him some kind of chance to get me back, he was wrong. If anything, it made me more angry at him.
