The market place was not always a good place to be at this time of the day but there were still alot of shops and stalls open that too with alot of buyers.
"Thank you sir!" I collected my bag of fabrics I just bought for my new designs.Out of no where, some guy just snatched my bag and ran away. I have a lot of important things in there. I can't lose them. Good lord.
"Hey you stop there. Bring my bag!" I yelled running after him."Someone please help, he took my bag!" Yelling, I don't think anyone paid attention to me.
He was gone and I huffed looking around the market.
People just gave me sympathetic looks. What could that solve?
Could it bring my bag back? This was the last thing I wanted. Hurt and angry, I walked away towards my driver who just parked across the street.
"Mam!" Someone yelled behind but I didn't turn. He might be calling someone else.Pulling up the bag of clothes closer to me before someone snatches that too, a guy stood infront of me.
He held his knees panting hard then faced me.
My heart skipped a beat and my body stiffened.I'm I dreaming or is something wrong with me?
No.
"Mam. Your bag," he handed it to me, finally coming back to my senses, I snatched it from him, checked the contract papers I had in them, my passport and other documents.Thankfully, everything was intact.
"You!" I used my hand to hit the guy infront of me as he tried to defend him self.
"Wait.....," I gave him no room for explanation.
"You snatched my bag and then return it?... What were you trying to do huh?" yelling, I continued hitting him."Hold on," he grabbed both my arms and stared rock hard into my eyes which scared me a little. What if he hits me back?
"You should be thanking me because I got your bag back from the thief. You should be really careful around places like these," my mouth hung open after he explained with a smile.Lord.
"I'm......I'm so sorry," rapidly, I apologized holding his arms to see if I hurt him anywhere.
"You're welcome," he put his hands on his waist still smiling.
He was a...... Nice guy I guess.
"Thank you," embarrassed I looked at my feet before opening my bag and handing out all of the cash in my wallet to him.His green eyes lured me and his sharp jaw fitting his soft features. Short black hair swept upwards and the sides, shaved but not totally.
I didn't realize my long stare until he held my hand that extended the cash to him and inched closer to me."Not everything that's done, is for the sake of money," his whisper in my ear sent tingles on my neck, giving me chills inside of me.
"Have a good day Madam," just like that, he left me standing there taken back. When he disappeared into the crowd, I locked my bag and looked at the way he took to leave.
I need to get home.
"Mam, let me help you with that."

Carlos pulled away, shutting his eyes while I on the other hand just stared at him.
"I'm sorry.....,"
"It's okay," I caught him off before he could finish.
He just sat back opposite me still with his eyes closed. I guess he's embarrassed for what he did but should he?It was just feelings that got the better of him like it did to me earlier at the lake. I quietly dragged myself next to him and rested my head on his shoulder.
I felt his smile on my hair, his arm wrapped around my shoulder and his head resting on mine.
