15: The Ghost In The Stage
“Right where I’m standing,
I saw faceless freaks,
whose claps and cheers
are for the ghost of the year.
“Congratulations, Miss Buela. Keep improving.”
Pasado. Lampas sa passing rate.
God, thank you so much!
“Salamat po, Ma’am,” I replied so she nodded and went back calling my other blockmates. Suddenly, I heard her voice in my head—from making fun of my ringtone the last time—now praising me for my changes.
Nakaka-proud pala ang ganito.
Almost all of my subjects are in average rate, some in above average (wew).
Tiya Magda even called me a city vampire when she once knocked on my unit and brought me suman, the food her deceased husband like, only to found out that I'm lurking inside without the urge to go out.
Ah, good old memories...
I heard them talking behind my back. When one of them was called, they stopped. And that girl went back on her seat throwing tantrums to her friends.
With a smile on my face, I went back walking while looking at the floor.
I slightly laughed with my upper lips touching its lower when I remembered how we reacted upon knowing the dates of the rescheduled middle term exams.
On Wednesday, November 4, I went back to school and found out that our midterms is scheduled for tomorrow and the day after.
Imagine the pressure of going back to school after a LONG break then exams will greet you in the coming days. What a wrap!
However, Pamela and I were quite her opposite. She's just as calm and as persevered as I am.
I'm guessing...she's doing her best to receive something in return.
