Y/N

Evenings were, for the most part, relaxing to most. Chilled out nights after work, overall downtime after a busy day or just a general way to hang out with friends at the best time, all options were great for someone who had been through a lot in their life. And with the way things were looking for the students of U.A High, any downtime after training, even on their break, was welcomed and mostly received.

Except... for one.

"Shit, shit, shit! Ah fuck! Why the hell did my clothes become so hard to chose from!!" Y/N's panicked voice echoed throughout his house as he dashed between his mirror and his wardrobe. He held two hangers in his hands, each sporting a uniquely designed casual t-shirt. "WHY DID TIME HAVE TO GO SO FAST?!"

"Language. Also, why are so pressed about this? There's still plenty of time for you to decide." Kaz called up from the bottom of the stairs, seemingly relaxed as he sat comfortably on the couch.

"It's not about how long I have, it's about making a decent impression!" Y/N whined.

Ever since Monday, Y/N had been a little on edge when it came to the upcoming day that was Friday, the day he was about to meet Mina Ashido's parents. Of course, he had little to no knowledge on what they were actually like, what they liked, nor did he have a single clue about how the whole experience was going to go. All of this, mixed in with his underlying anxiety about the overall subject, led to him over-thinking and now... it was time for him to finally meet them...

With absolutely no preparation whatsoever.

"Hmm... This one's a bit catchy but not too extravagant, while this one's quite natural to a more relaxed setting... UGH! WHY DO THEY BOTH HAVE PROS AND CONS TO THEM?!" Y/N exclaimed loudly, groaning at the two choices in front of him as he looked in the mirror. Despite Mina's kind and loving reassurance on the matter, saying that everything was going to be alright, it seemed to make little difference to the boy's mental state when it actually came to the "special" day. "It hasn't even started yet and things are already going rough..."

Y/N sighed heavily as he stood there before he made his way to his bed, laying the t-shirts down either side of him before he sat down in defeat. The stress was becoming just too much for the Evisceration user to handle.

Damn it... How can something so trivial be so hard to decide between?

He burried his head within his hands and exhaled sharply, attempting to alleviate himself from any overlying anxiety that was beginning to burden him. Y/N peered at the shirt to his right through his fingers, it felt like he was making a decision that would decide someone's very life, and he knew that it wasn't as extreme as that. But he couldn't help but think that way anyway.

As he sulked to himself, however, his ears picked up a faint creaking sound just outside his room before he noticed his uncle standing outside his room. Kaz had heard enough of his nephew's stressed out worrying and decided to take it upon himself to help him out. "All this for two t-shirts? You really know how to make it sound so serious." Kaz chuckled at what he saw in front of him.

"Easy for you to say..." Y/N mumbled, but just as he was about to return to his sulking he felt a sudden weight form on his bed and catch his attention before a gentle hand was placed on his shoulder. Confused, Y/N looked up to spot his uncle sitting right next to him, with one of his t-shirts moved to the side, and he gave him a reassuring smile. "Huh?"

"Come on, you think I'm just gonna leave you to stress out like this? What kind of person would I be if otherwise?" He chuckled, Y/N's confusion seemed to elevate but he still felt a little bit thankful. Kaz sighed heavily as he sat there, now facing him with a more serious expression. "Look, Y/N, I know I'm not really... the best... with this kind of thing. Hell, I doubt I'll ever be with the way things are going. But if there's one thing I do know about meeting new people and those who have a little more authority over others, it's that trivial things... just need to stay trivial."
