Y/N

The true power of One For All... is that it can be transferred?

The revelation hit him like a bullet, completely silencing any other thought the boy may have had in that one moment. The paper he held in his hands was something Y/N couldn't help but look at fully now, scanning over every single piece of information it contained so that he could actually grasp and understand just what it was Scarlet was talking to him about. He didn't even care if Mina and David were in the same room as him right now... this was something Y/N had to think about.

After all, it was the Number One Hero's quirk Scarlet was talking about. There was no way the black-horned teen could hold back his own curious nature on that.

"From how Midoriya broke his bones from his power before the internships even happened, it's pretty damn obvious that the power he was using wasn't one he was born with. Think about it, if he had that quirk all the way through childhood... why did he only start getting control over it after the Sports Festival? Surely someone with that level of destructive power should've at least trained to use it before entering U.A High, so why not?" Scarlet wondered and Y/N frowned at what his apparition just said.

He said he was a late bloomer when I asked him about it though, and there are many people out there that have had their quirk appear around the same age Midoriya is now, me being one of them... so how exactly can he have All Might's quirk if that's also a possible occurrence?

It was a reasonable question to ask, since Scarlet never once said or thought anything about the possibility of Midoriya just being a late bloomer. However, to Y/N's complete surprise he heard his quirk let out an amused chuckle.

"True, he did say that... but take one look at that graph again and compare it to the day U.A held its entrance exam. The Symbol of Peace losing his power, the sharp drop in his quirk level, Midoriya having the exact same abilities he does while being a 'late bloomer'  just before the school started its first semester... everything just lines up so perfectly! And besides, with a power to destroy rows of literal buildings in an instant that can be transferred to someone else, do you honestly believe Midoriya was telling the truth about him being what you were? A power like that in the hands of a villain is something not a single one of us wants to imagine, so the best way to stop someone from taking advantage of that transfer process is to make up a cover story for it. Can't say I blame him for doing that, but here we are." Scarlet explained as he watched Y/N thoroughly look over the graph's contents again.

He didn't want to admit it for Midoriya's sake, but even someone as sceptical as Y/N was in that moment couldn't help but see where Scarlet was coming from. And after the thought David planted into his head about Aizawa being his biological father turning out to be real after the incident in Hosu, coincidences and similarities such as this simply couldn't be outright dismissed anymore.

It was best to keep an open mind about it, even if what Scarlet said was undeniably shocking to him.

I... get where you're coming from. And remember the time he kinda stopped talking to me after you got him to say the quirk's name? I think it's obvious that he doesn't want word to get out about it. However, since the dots pretty much connect this means we will have to actually talk to him about it now, whether you like it or not. We can't just keep our knowledge about his quirk away from him now that we know how it truly works.

Scarlet merely waved his concern for Midoriya off and chuckled. "Yeah, yeah, I understand. But if that boy's done everything he could to conceal that quirk's true power, something even I can understand when it comes to the potential consequences that could stem from it... then we are not telling anyone else about this. Not Todoroki, not Mina, and especially not David." The apparition told him, and Y/N was swift to nod in agreement.
