"come on clay!"

i'm frantically waving my hand, motioning for him to run faster.

"why the hurry dude? we've got like 30 min!" he points out, quickly catching up to me with his long legs.
"still! i don't want you to miss your flight!"

he grabs my shoulder, slowing me to a halt.

"seriously, calm down honey. there's no reason to stress. i'll make it there in time."
"you sure?" i doubt.
"yes, i'm sure. now stop and take it easy. walk with me, alright?"
"okay," i nod, receiving a loving peck on my cheek as a reward.

he grips his luggage bag with one hand and leaves the other free for my hand. normally i would get incredibly anxious walking through a crowded airport like this but having clay by my side today really helps. he radiates this soothing, calming energy that could make anyone feel relaxed. i don't even care if people are staring at us. we're just two boys holding hands.

"have you talked to the moving business about my pc and everything?" i ask.
"yeah, it should all be arranged. we won't have to pay full price either since you're selling most of your furniture."
"sweet."

the remaining hours of yesterday after clay broke the news were spent furiously planning the whole ordeal. to be frank neither of us had any idea of what we were doing. all we wanted was to get my computer and a few other important things out of my apartment and ship them over to florida.

i think both me and clay were a little too hyped about the fact that we're gonna live together soon, cause we ended up getting almost nothing done.

i'll have to deal with selling my flat and my furniture, informing the small amount of people i associate with in the uk, and the shittiest thing of them all; obtaining a visa.

clay asked me last night if i just wanted to commit marriage fraud straight away. at first i thought he was joking, but it turns out he was dead serious. "i mean i'm not popping the question or anything but... it'd be kinda cool" to quote him. i swiftly turned the offer down. he might feel like the love of my life but just the thought of marriage scares me, even if it's just a legal term on a paper.

"wait, g-george?!"

a light voice snaps me out of my deep thinking. i feel clay uncomfortably shifting beside me, trying to locate the source. it's a young girl, probably around the age of fourteen who's just spotted me in the middle of the crowd.

"uhh, hi?" i greet, more awkward than what i thought was humanly possible.

i debate letting go of clay's hand for a fraction of a second. yes, we've gone official on twitter, but that doesn't mean we're comfortable with pda yet. however when i feel an anxious squeeze i immediately reconsider. clay clearly wants me to stay. i can tell he's insecure about being put on the spot like this.

"i love your videos! you really help me when i'm feeling down."

her mouth is wide open like she's in a state of shock, her messy, braided black hair falling just below her shoulders. i find it kinda silly; i'm just a nerd playing minecraft in my free time and yet people still react like this when they get attention from me. i'm flattered but i will never understand it. and the fact that i make people happy? even less understandable.

"thank you," i grin, "i'm glad i can help."
"wait, oh my god, are you dream? you're so tall!" she gasps, diverting her full attention to the boy beside me.
"i- well yeah, i guess i am," clay nervously laughs, pretending to itch his back.
"that's awesome! and you guys are so cute together by the way!"

i blush at the statement, taking it as a compliment. even clay's going a little pink. it's so adorable. i just wish he could blush more often.

her intense elation is starting to rub off on me. i can't wipe this stupid smile off my face.

"can i have a hug?"
"sure," i reply, quickly pulling her into my arms and allowing her to hug me back. she looks to be almost on the verge of tears as we part, her hand covering her mouth.

"sorry, i'm just so.. surprised," she mentions, voice a little muffled.
"it's okay, i would be too."

she brings out her phone and snaps a few pictures with me before turning to clay again.

"can i hug you too?" she wonders with pleading puppy-like eyes.
"uhm, i-i'd rather you not. so-sorry."

if clay didn't make me melt before he sure is now. i've never heard him stutter like this before and i've never seen him fiddle so much. he's so cute that i just want to hold him tight and protect him from all evil in this world.

"cora! we're boarding, come on!" a short woman shouts in broken english from a bit away. the girl - apparently named cora - instantly reacts and tells us a quick goodbye before rushing towards her mom.

"that was.. scary," clay wheezes, intertwining our fingers again when she's disappeared amidst the sea of passengers.

"you did great honey boo," i smirk.
"hey! that's my pet name for you dude."
"i just thought it suited you."
"wow, okay, you're acting like i'm the soft, fluffy one in this relationship? try again cutie."

i burst out laughing, the redness on my face not fading away.

"i refuse to be referred to as 'boo' or any soft shit like that. call me anything but baby names. call me big man or something, that sounds british."
"big man? you're joking, right?"
"what? you wanna call me daddy instead?"

i giggle, teasingly tugging at his shirt.

"i mean, i'm not opposed to it..."

clay ends up becoming extremely flustered by my words. his previously steady grip on my hand has loosened, and i notice him trembling slightly.

"can we not discuss this in a public place?" he requests, "cause, you know-"
"i know. don't worry."
