Chapter 18

I was back in the dressing room getting my hair and makeup done when there is a knock at the door. I open it and find Luke and Beau standing there.
"Hey guys. Come in." I say opening the door for them.
"Thanks." Luke says smiling at me. I walk back over to the chair I was sitting in and they sit on the couch.
"What's up?" I ask as the hair and makeup artist continues on my hair.
"Well tonight after the show there's an after party. We wanted to see if you wanted to come." Beau asks.
"You can bring your friends and your boyfriend and we can just have a fun night ." Luke adds on.
"Okay yea that sounds fun. But um there will be a lot of them." I say to them.
"How many."
"11 people." I say to them. They look at me.
"Well one of them is my boyfriend."
"Okay. We also need to know the gender." Beau asks.
"They're all male." I say looking down at my phone.
"What? You don't hang out with any girls?" Luke asks confused.
"No. All the girls at my school hate me. They treat me like I'm nothing." I say quietly.
"Well fuck them. They're fucking wrong!" Beau shouts.
"Thanks guys. I have to finish getting ready and I need to warm up a little more." I say to them. They nod.
"I'll come back a little before the show." Luke whispers to me. I nod and watch them exit the room.

When I finish with everything I see that I have 10 minutes till the show so I look at myself one more time in the mirror. My hair was loosely curled and it spilled over the thin white shirt I was wearing. The shirt was a tight white tank top then had a see through white fabric over it. It was tucked into a pair of black waist high shorts. Along with that they made me wear white vans. I sigh at how I look.
"What's wrong?" Luke asks. I jump a little. "Sorry didn't mean to scare you." He says.
"It's fine. Did you really mean what you said earlier? That I'm perfect?" I ask him. He blushes slightly and nods.
"Well don't think that. Because I'm not perfect." I say to him. He nods.
"Okay. You only have a few minutes till you go on." He says. I nod and take a deep breath. "Nervous?" He asks. I nod and look over at him. "Don't worry. You'll do great. You look great, you sing great, and you're just an all around great person." He says to me. I smile and he returns with a warm smile.
"Thanks Luke." I say smiling, I walk over to him and hug him.
"No problem." He whispers into my hair. When we stop I hear someone speaking over the stadium.
"I've got to go. But thank you so much." I say and give him a kiss on his cheek.
"Go get em tiger." He says smiling. I grab my guitar and run out to the stage.
"So opening for the Janoskians...Nicole Hanes." He says. Some people scream. Mainly all the boys who are up on the balcony. When I walk out on the stage I see the seats filled with many people. They all seem excited. Not for me but for the boys who are backstage getting ready.
"Hey guys." I say into the mic. "How are you?" They all scream. I smile. "So I know you're all excited about the boys back there to perform, so am I but they're so slow that they had me perform first." I say. I get many laughs and I smile. "Anyway here's a song that me and my best friend tried to write when we were 15." I say and I begin strumming.

I keep singing and I see some people singing along. I smile and finish the song. Many people cheer and I look around and find that one pair of beautiful eyes. I smile as Sam sees me looking up at him. When I put my guitar away the next song plays. Can't stop dancin' by Becky G

"So be prepared to come and push up on my...

The dancers and I do some cute moves that get some boys to cheer. We do moves like a body roll, where we have our backs to them and we look over our shoulder and move out shoulder back. We also shake our hips a lot because that's what the song is meant for us to do.

After singing that song I sing Hush by SoMo, Love Robbery by Kalin and Myles, Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars, and No Interruption by Hoodie Allen. When I'm about to perform my song I look up. "This song goes out to all my friends that came here to support me! Shawn, Jack, Jack, Nash, Cameron, Carter, Hayes, Taylor, Aaron, and Matt! You guys are the best! And of course my boyfriend! Where are you guys at!" I shout. The light turns on them and they all wave. "You guys describe this song for me! You guys don't care what happens just as long as we all have fun! You guys get loose and make anything boring into a party. So now it's my turn to bring you the party!" I shout and the music starts playing. I begin singing the song Hell Yeah by Midnight Red.

When I finish those songs I look back at the boys' manager and he holds up on finger. I have to perform one more song. Okay.
"Alright guys. This song I need everyone to stand up." I say smiling. People do as I say. "So I'm going to sing...but we're ALL going to dance. Okay? Let's have some fun!" I say before one of my favorite songs comes on. Make Me Proud by Drake comes on. Some people don't dance but many of us do. Then I keep singing until the song ends. When I'm done there are tons of people screaming. I wave and walk off stage with my guitar. The boys meet me back stage.
"You were amazing!" Luke says giving me a high five.
"You guys are the ones who are amazing. Now go out there and do what you do best." I say smiling. They smile and run out on stage when they're introduced. I walk back to my dressing room and change.

"Okay now we have something to ask you guys." Jai says.
"How many of you liked Nicole?" Beau asks. The stadium rings from the screams.
"Good cuz we did to." Luke says smiling. "Nicole can you come out here?" He asks.
I hear my name and run to the stage and see Daniel waving me on. I walk on and toward them. When I walk out I felt weird. I was wearing yoga pants, a white tanktop and a long caramel cardigan that went to the back of my knees with the same white vans.
"Nicole here is very talented and we enjoyed having here here for the few hours that we've been able to talk to her. Some took a liking to her more than others." James says looking over at Luke. "But we enjoyed her so much that we all came to a decision and wanted to see if you wanted to come on tour with us?" James says looking at me. I was shocked. I was truly shocked.
"So Nicole. What do you say? Wanna come on tour with us?" Jai asks. I think for a few seconds and I finally nod.
"Perfect! Well there you have it Nicole Hanes is going on tour with us for five months!" Beau yells into his mic. I smile big and I look up at all of my friends and see that none of them are happy. Not even Sam who knew that it was my dream to travel. I walk off stage and back to my dressing room to think about what I just agreed to do.
