The next day at school Adrien sat closer to you than he usually did, which you didn't mind, but you just found it a bit odd. Marinette seemed a bit bothered, so you tried to scoot away. This only made him smirk and shake his head to himself.
"So, did you have a good Valentine's Day?" he asked.
You tilted your head from side to side, unsure how it had gone for you. "I-I'm not sure. I wrote someone a letter, but I don't think he got it." Your cheeks blushed a bright red and you sighed. "And I don't he even likes me."
Adrien grabbed you by the wrist and shook you lightly, laughing. "There's no way he wouldn't like you," he said. You rolled your eyes in disbelief and began to doodle in your notebook. "Maybe you just need to tell him!"
You grimaced and quickly shook your head. "That won't work... he never notices me."
Adrien thought for a moment, then raised an eyebrow. "Who is he?" You laughed awkwardly and shook your head again, palming his face and pushing away. "Oh, come on." He grinned, grabbing your hand and pulling you forward so that your noses were nearly touching.
Marinette let out a loud squeak behind you and you quickly backed away from Adrien. "I-I can't..."
"If I know him, I can help you, (Y/N)," he said sincerely. He wasn't being pushy, but playful. However, now with Marinette as an ally and friend you couldn't let her see Adrien being overly nice with you. "What if we play 20 questions? If I guess, you tell me, and if not then I won't ask again."
You scrunched up your nose and giggled. You nodded and he happily pulled out a piece of paper where he wrote his first question.
Do I know him?
You responded with 'I don't know'. Which made him pout.
Is he famous?
You blushed a deep red and nodded, making him smirk.
Do people like him?
You tittered for a moment undecisively. You were completely enamored with Chat Noir, but you didn't think other people appreciated him as much as the ought. Adrien seemed to notice this and became sad until you you answered with a firm "yes".
Is he a singer?
You shook your head and giggled, the thought of Chat Noir singing was quite amusing.
Is he a superhero?
You froze in your seat. You had just realized how embarrassing it would be to tell a boy you had a crush a superhero who doesn't know who you are outside of your own superhero persona, that no one else knows about.
Luckily, though, it was just Adrien and if you slipped up and said something only Batwing would know he wouldn't notice. So you finally nodded and he excitedly wrapped his arm around you and pulled you into an excited hug.
All Adrien really wanted was to hear you admit your affection for Chat Noir to prove to Plagg that he wasn't crazy, and this way he could woo you as Chat Noir and his chances would increase.
"I can't believe you like Cha--"
"Shh!" you hushed him, frantically slapping your hand over his mouth as his eyes widened. "The whole class doesn't need to know!" Chloe glanced over at you and Adrien with a sneer. She had grown so tired of your relationship with him and you were starting to feel uncomfortable.
It felt like everyone had a crush on Adrien and you were often sen as a bad guy just because you were friends.
Adrien pulled your hand away from his face and grinned again. "I can help you, if you want." Your eyes lit up and your mouth dropped open. You vibrated with excitement and grabbed his arm, shaking it violently. He laughed at you, "I know Chat Noir, so I can get a good word in for you."
"Wow, how lucky am I that two of my friends know superheroes? And they're both so willing to help me!" You thankfully kissed him on the cheek and when you pulled away he put his hand up to his face and smiled shyly. You turned in your seat to see Marinette whispering to Alya. "Hey, what are you up to after school today, Marinette?"
She shrugged and waved her hand. "Oh nothing much. I'm ahead with my work, so I have the afternoon free."
You clapped. "Great! Mind if Adrien and I come over to your place after school? He wants to help me with... you know who."
Marinette nodded with a small sound of determination. You turned to Adrien and folded your hands together. He sighed affectionately and played with your hair. "I'll be over right after school. But, not for long."
You turned to Marintte and winked slyly. She gave you a thumbs up and mouthed "thank you".
After school you walked out of the main doors with Adrien and Marinette on either side of you. Alya had to babysit her little brother, so she parted with you earlier. At the front of the school you saw Chloe and Sabrina standing by the limousine with inpatient looks on their faces.
"Come on, (Y/N)!" Chloe snapped. "It's time to go home.
You took a double-take. You crossed your arms and sneered. "What are talking about, Chloe?" you sassed.
She pouted her lips and pointed at the car. "Daddy says we both have to go home!" People in the parking lot began to stare at the both of you, but Chloe was the only one shouting.
"Why can't you just let me hang out with my friends for once?" you presses tirelessly.
"Because Adrien is mine!"
"Woah, hold on, Chloe..." Adrien cut in. But shouldn't have to. Chloe needed to learn that she doesn't own people.
You gritted your teeth and looked to the ground. "I'll be going home with you tonight, but for the last time!!!" you shouted, making everyone gasp. Adrien took a step away from you and glared at Chloe. "I paid good money to be here and make friends!" You stormed off into the limousine and got in, leaving Adrien and Marinette alone, awkwardly glancing at each other.
