A/N: Merry Christmas! Happy Birthday, Jesus! How were your holidays? Let me know in the comments!❤💚🎁🍪🥛

The classroom began to fill up with your classmates and as they walked in Miss. Bustier handed them one of the papers she was looking over, smiling happily as they did so.

Adrien was one of the last people to walk in, and when he finally took his seat, he sat about an extra foot away than he usually did. This worried you because you still needed him to help you take notes, and you worried you had done something to upset him.

"Adrien?" you peeped after Miss. Bustier began taking attendance.

His head snapped up at the sound of your voice and his eyes softened as they looked over you. They were still a brilliant shade of green, and you felt your stomach lurch forward at the familiar feeling of his gaze.

"Is everything okay?"

He nodded with a small smile. "Of course, (Y/N). I've just had a lot on my plate these past couple days and I can't stop thinking about--" Adrien quickly cut himself off and changed the subject. "Did you hear about Jennie Kim?"

You smiled softly and nodded a few times before looking down at your paper. "I had honestly never heard of her before now. But, I'm really excited to see her in concert. I'll buy a ticket as soon as possible."

His lips pursed up a bit and he rolled his eyes playfully. "We'll be taking good care of you, (Y/N). Back stage passes and the like."

Your eyes lit up with awe and you thanked him repeatedly. You felt so happy that you and Adrien were friends; he was such a kind and giving person. Living with him the past couple of days was the best thing that could have ever happened to you and every second got better.

Miss. Bustier finished up attendance and announced that today would be devoid of studying and lecture. Many students got excited, but it quickly went away when she followed up stating it wasn't a free day. "In order to demonstrate to the class the way the current election is going we are going to hold our own election for class representative."

Several students groaned, but most of your class was indifferent. You leaned over and whispered in Adrien's ear, "Are you going to do that?"

He shrugged his shoulders and shook his head, telling you it wasn't really his thing. You nodded in understanding and he jokingly whispered back, "Are you?"

The idea was comical to you, almost stupid to even consider- but you couldn't help think about what could happen. There was no possible way Parisians would allow a foreigner to have any sort of control over their way of life, and to make matters worse your French, while quickly improving, was nowhere near the level necessary to involve yourself in any sort of topical conversation.

"Only if you're my running companion."

"Mate," he corrected. "Running mate."

You laughed and nodded. "Yeah, that." It was unspoken amongst you that neither wanted to run, and the idea was rather horrifying.

However, other students didn't find the idea so terrible. Two of them, in fact. Chloe had jumped from her seat so quickly that her knee rattled the table, startling Sabrina who seemed to have been doodling in a notebook ever since Miss. Bustier announced there was no work.

She had her hand raised in the air, and before being called on, sauntered to the front of the room. "I think I would be the perfect class representative. Considering my father is the mayor of Paris, I have quite the grasp on how all of these things work."

It made sense to you; that she would know how the system works. Though, the idea of her being in charge was a rather dangerous one.

"Would you put the needs of the class before your own?" you blurted out.

Chloe's bright blue eyes narrowed at you deep wrinkles creasing the space between her furrowed brows. Then she quickly smiled and nodded. You didn't quite believe her, but there was nothing you could do to oppose her.

"My running mate will be Sabrina! Of course!" She waved Sabrina forward and then glanced around the room, eyeing anyone who may want to go against her.

Miss. Bustier wrote both of their names down on a sheet of paper then looked up. "Alright, so Chloé is running for the class representative position and Sabrina will be her deputy. Do we have any other candidates?"

In the back, Kim raised his hand. He had tried to hit on you a couple times, but anyone would he better than Chloe. Just before Miss. Bustier looked his way he lowered it quickly- Chloe and Sabrina were glaring fiercely at him.

Before you could ask Adrien one more time if he was sure about not running for representative, Marinette slammed the door of the classroom open. Her hair was disheveled and the buttons on her coat didn't line up correctly. "Hi! I'm sorry!" she spluttered out, itching towards her seat with her bag dragging the ground. "I-uh, I-uh, the bus," she gave coughed a few times, "dry throat!" She dashed to her seat and plopped down next to Alya.

"Chloé's running again! She's been class rep since when? Kindergarten?" Alya hissed to Marrinette.

You turned in your seat to look at Alya, Adrien following your lead. "Why don't you run as candidate?" you suggested to Alya. Who better than her? Smart and selfless.

"You'd make an awesome representative!" Adrien agreed. He nudged you in the shoulder, smiling slightly.

"Alya, you would be totally perfect as class rep," Marinette urged.

Alya had other plans, though. She held up her phone to the three of you and wagged her forefinger. "No can do. My blog is a full-time job!" She winked and laughed, pulling up the webpage of the Ladyblog and showing you that she was nearly at 3,000 followers.

It was a sad thought- for Chloe and Sabrina to run the class and choose where the funding went, and where the field trips would be. But, what's the worst it could be?

Miss. Bustier seemed to notice the tension and sighed heavily. "Alright then, I'll give all of you till the end of lunch to decide if you like to be a candidate." And with that she dismissed class early, allowing the class to run off to the court, the library, or the gym.

A/N: MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Now that the holidays are over I can get back into writing more frequently.

So, let me know if you would like to run for class representative, of course, you would be Adrien's deputy, and he would be the rep. But, you could spend more time together... or should you run and lose? Or would you rather give Marinette a win for once? Let me know in the comments!
