Chapter Thirty-Three
The Girl Who Knew Too Much

Tires burning up the pavement, Scott races his motocross bike to a stop in the school's parking lot. He yanks his helmet off just as Stiles's Jeep soars in beside him. "Where are they?" Stiles asked and before Scott could say anything they heard Allisom call out, "Over here!" They turn to see Allison coming out of the shadows with Blake and Lydia.

Blake pursed her lips and awkwardly waved as they ran over to them. "It's the same thing that happened at the pool, the cross country trail, the alley the other day. We got into our cars heading somewhere totally different, and both ended up here at the same time." Blake explained and Lydia nodded, "And you told us to call you if there's a dead body."

"You found a dead body?" Stiles asked and Lydia shook her head, "Not yet." She said making Stiles look at her crazy.
"Not yet?" What do you mean, "not yet?" Lydia, you're supposed to call us after you guys find the dead body." Stiles said and Lydia scoffed.

"Oh, no. I'm not doing that again. You find the dead body from now on."

"How are we supposed to find the dead body? You're always the one finding the dead body!"

As they argued Scott noticed Blake's distant look as she stared at the ground before she started to walk away from the group. He watched as it was like she had momentarily shut down and someone else started pulling her in a direction until she stopped. Blake looked up and direction in her line of sight was the body.

"Guys!" She said making everyone stop talking, "I found the body." She said and they followed her line of sight to the Beacon Hills High School sign atop which Deputy Graeme lies. Garrote around her neck. Blood streaming down the stone and brick.

Jennifer walks the aisle between desks as she lectures. "Idioms, analogies, metaphors, and similes. All tools the writer uses to tell their story." She pauses in between Lydia and Blake's desks, noticing them both drawing a picture of a leafless tree in thier notebooks. "Lydia, Blake, I wasn't aware you had so many hidden talents." Jennifer said and Blake scoffed while Lydia hummed.

"You and every guy I've ever dated." Lydia said and Blake chuckled, "You'd probably know if you actually knew my brother that you're sleeping with." Blake said, fully showing her distaste for her teacher dating her brother. It was that she didn't like that her brother was dating her teacher, she just didn't like her teacher.

"Oh. Um, well. Anyways." Jennifer said before continuing her lecture, "Idioms are something of a secret to the people who know the language or the culture. They're phrases that only make sense if you know key words. Saying "jump the gun" is meaningful only if you know about the starting gun in a race. Or, a phrase like, "seeing the whole board..."
