Blake's outfit
Chapter Ten
🐺 Co-Captain 🐺"Allison... when you said you needed to stop for an errand before we went shopping... a five-mile hike in the woods was not what I was expecting." Lydia said as she and Blake followed Allison through the woods, "Before I forget, I wanted to ask if you're okay with something." Allison says and Blake has to bite her lip to keep from snickering knowing what was coming.
"Jackson invited me to the winter formal." Allison said making Lydia hum, "Did he?" She asked, pretending to be calm. "Uh-huh. Just as friends. But, I just wanted to make sure you're okay with it, first." Allison said and Lydia slowly nodded, "Sure. As long as it's just friends."
"Well, yeah. I mean, it's not like I would take him to the coach's office during lacrosse practice to make out with him or anything." Allison said and Lydia sucked in a deep breath, shooting a look at Blake, "What? Did you really expect me not to tell her?"
Allison drops the bag and unzips it, inside the bag she reveals a bow and quiver of arrows. Lydia looks down at it with wide eyes while Blake looks around slightly uneasy. Yes, Blake considered Allison as one of her best friends but the thought that Kate is staying with them, theres no telling what Kate could be subtly be putting into Allison's head.
Lydia and Blake watches Allison take a normal arrow and twist off the bullet point. She replaces it with something that Blake instantly recognized as a flash bolt making her take a deep breath. "What does that do?" Lydia asked.
"We're about to find out." Allison says, she takes a firing position in front of atree in the distance. Setting the arrow just under the sight, she pulls back on the nocking point of the bowstring.
Lydia tenses up as Allison aims. Then lets the bolt SOAR. It explodes against the tree with a bright flash, strange whirls of light spinning into the air. "What the hell was that?" Lydia asked as they all stood around shocked. "I don't know."
"Well, that was fun. Any other lethal weapons you want to try out?" Lydia asks sarcastically, Allison went to turn to them but stops. Cocking her head, she listens to the woods around them. A moment later, they both hear it. Movement through the brush and leaves.
"Hold this." Allison says handing Blake the bow. "Why are you giving Blake of all people a weapon?" Lydia asked, as Blake took it slowly, something about her holding the daughter of a hunter's bow that she could potentially use to kill Blake if she really wanted to, made Blake a bit uncomfortable. "Because I thought I heard something." Allison answered making Lydia's eyes widen, "So... what if you heard something?" She asked.
