"Kuya, let's go, she's not coming anymore." Asthea softly said. The rain is heavilly falling at nababasa na kaming lima, maliban kay Asthea na naka-payong at naka-tayo sa harap ko, the hem of her red dress are wet because of the rain.
Umiling ako dito, at nanatiling naka-tayo. I'm still waiting for her, here in the customize aisle, kung saan dapat ako mag pro-propose, but she didn't came.
It's already 11 PM, and I'm still waiting for her. Malapit nang matapos ang pasko, ngunit hinihintay ko pa din sya. Mahigit limang oras na akong naka-tayo dito, at naghihintay. I know she will come. She won't break my heart. Mahigpit kong hinawakan ang box na may lamang singsing. It's infinty style at naka-ukit ang pangalan ko doon. Nilabas ko ang isa at sinuot iyon. Ang sa akin naman ay naka-ukit ang kanyang pangalan.
Sinuklay ko ang aking basang buhok pataas dahil natatakpan na nito ang mata ko. I fixed my tie, dahil baka dumating sya. We're still wearing our tuxedos, at nasa aking gilid ang apat, nananatiling naka-tayo sa aking tabi.
"Dude, let's go. Baka naman may emergency lang sa kanila kaya hindi naka-punta." Yxel comforted me with his lie. I just nodded and stare at nowhere.
"You guys can go, I'll just wait for her." I said dismissing them. I put my hands on my pocket because I'm starting to feel cold. Things we do for the one we love.
"Bro, let's just go. Maybe it's not the right time for this." Lumapit si Kent sa akin at inakbayan ako.
"Kuya, let's just go baka lagnatin ka pa." Asthea said, and caress my face.
I sighed. "Every pain is worth it if she's the reason behind it."
I remained looking at the end of the red carpet, imagining that she's walking on it.
"Come on, dude. We all know Graziel loves you even if she didn't....came." Humina ang boses nya sa bandang dulo.
She never said those words to me. But somehow, I wanna believe him.
Bumuntong hininga si Asthea, at kinuha ang cell phone nya mula sa kanyang pouch.
"Hello po, tita?" She called Graziel's mother, and put it on loud speaker for us to hear what they're saying.
"Yes, iha?" Graziel's mother answered.
"Uhm, I just wanna ask if Graziel's still there?" She carefully asked tita Esmeralda.
We heard tita's gasp, "W-What? Kanina pa sya naka-alis." Her voice suddeny filled with worriedness.
Nanigas ako sa aking kinatatayuan. P-paano kung may nangyari sa kanya? Bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko dahil sa kaba.
"Shit." Rileson cursed at dali-daling kinuha ang cellphone nya mula sa bag, kung saan naka-lagay ang mga props kanina.
"Damn it, Z! Answer your fucking phone!" Rileson hissed. He frustratedly pulled his hair.
Walang pag da-dalawang isip na nilabas ang aking susi mula sa bulsa ko gamit ang nanginginig kong kamay. Hang in there, baby. Your serendipity will come for you.
Sumakay ako sa kotse ko, at ini-start ito. Narinig ko ang pag-kalampag ni Asthea sa bintana ko at binuksan ko ang driver seat upang tanungin kung may problema ba, ngunit sinalubong ako ng sapak ni Asthea sa aking panga.
"What the hell?!"
I touched my jaw where her fist landed. Napa-ngiwi ako sa sakit nito.
"Are you trying to get yourself killed?" Inis na saad ni Finn at kinwelyuhan ako. Drops of water is running down his face at matalim ang tingin sa akin.
