Jimin is sitting in lunch a few days later when his thoughts get a little bit too loud. Life sucks when you're head over heels in love with your best friend's brother and you're on the road to failing all of your classes. The pressure of it is too much.

He stands up and puts his backpack on, walking to the exit. The teacher stops him. "Where are you going?"

"I need to make up a quiz."

"Do you have a note?"

Jimin shakes his head. "I forgot to ask for one."

The teacher sighs. "Fine, but don't forget it next time."

Jimin thanks him and walks out, rounding the corner and going to the lockers. He weaves through the rows until he reaches the back corner, where he sits down and bursts into tears.

School has been getting more stressful. He has 3 quizzes on Friday and 2 tests on Momday and he's studied for none of them.

He cries on the for about 14 minutes without being interrupted, but he eventually hears footsteps and stops. Some Senior that he doesn't know rounds the corner.

"You okay?"

Jimin nods, pauses and then shakes his head.

"What's your name?"

"Jimin."

"Are you a freshman?"

"Yeah."

They chuckle. "I bet you're stressed. Just know that it gets better."

Jimin's eyes grow wide. "Really?"

"Yeah. It's overwhelming at first, but it gets easier over time. You'll be fine after 2 months."

Jimin starts crying again. "2 whole months? I can't take 2 months."

The senior grabs something from their locker and silently walks away.

Jungkook is in his Calculus class waiting for his friend to bring the calculators from his locker. He's been gone for way longer than it takes to go to the lockers.

Finally he walks back in. "Sorry it took me so long. There was a freshman crying so I talked to them."

Jungkook chuckles. "Freshman are so fucking sensitive. Who was it?"

"Some kid named Jimin."

Jungkook's smile falls. "Fuck, that's my freshman." He stands up and walks out of the room when the teacher isn't looking before jogging to the lockers.

It's not hard to find him. He isn't exactly crying quietly. Jungkook walks up to him and crouches down. "What's wrong?"

Jimin looks away from him and doesn't respond. Jungkook snaps his fingers to get his attention again. "Don't ignore me. Junghyun isn't here."

Jimin blinks his tears away. "I'm really stressed..."

Jungkook helps him stand up. "What class are you in right now?"

"Lunch."

"Do you want to come hang out in a senior class for a while? I promise that my friends are nice."

Jimin shrugs. "What are you guys doing?"

"We basically have a free period. There's an empty desk next to mine."

"Okay..."

Jungkook wipes the tears off of Jimin's cheeks. "How long have you been crying for?"

"About 20 minutes..."

"Do you want some water? You're probably feeling a bit dehydrated. I have a water bottle back in the room. I drank about half of it, but you can have the rest."

Jimin grins and nods. "Okay."

They slowly walk back to Jungkook's class to let the redness fade from Jimin's eyes. They walk into the class and the teacher sees them.

Jimin tries to walk back out but Jungkook grabs his arm. "They're fine with it. Don't worry—"

The teacher clears her throat. "Mr. Jeon?"

Jungkook sighs and points to one of two empty desks. "Sit there." Jimin nods and walks over, sitting down.

Jungkook walks over to the teacher and talks quietly to them for a few seconds. They grin sympathetically and nod. Jungkook walks over and sits down. "You can stay."

"Really? I thought she was gonna kick me out."

Jungkook's friend looks up from his worksheet. "Oh. You brought your freshman. You feeling better?"

"A little bit."

They put their pencil down. "What were you stressed about?"

"School."

Jungkook chuckles. "We know that, but what part of school?"

"I have a lot of tests and quizzes coming up."

"We can help you study."
