chapter 3: Anniversary

I wake up to Emilys alarm going off. Emily groans as she sits up on the couch, holding her head.

"How's the headache Em"

"Shut up"

I laugh and she stubbles to get to the kitchen to grab Advil. She grabs a glass of water and chugs it as she places the small pill in her mouth. We both get ready for work, I tried to look at little nicer than usual without doing too much. As I'm walking out the door I hear my phone ding from inside my purse. I wait until I get to the car to see who it was. A giant smile comes across my face as I read who it's from.

s: Good morning princess, hope you guys had fun last night

y: Morning Spencie I did, though Emily had a little too much fun

s: I love you

y: I love you too :)

I try to hide your now huge smile while placing my phone back in my purse.

"Let me guess, Spencer?"

"Yep"

Emily quietly sighs as we pull into the parking lot of the BAU. We both get out of the car and into the building, we see Rossi waiting for the elevator.

"Good morning Agent Y/l/n"

"Morning Rossi"

The elevator opens and the three of us walk in. As the door closes Rossi start to talk to Emily.

"You okay Emily, You seem a little distracted"

I laugh knowing it's just the hangover

"Yeah I'm fine just a headache" Emily says nudging me with her elbow

Before I know it the elevator doors open. Nothing seems out of the ordinary or special until my eyes reach my desk. Theres a big bouquet of flowers with a note next to it. That says 'Happy Six Months Princess, I love you so much' A giant smile comes across my face as I search for Spencer. I see Spencer by the coffee maker, not realizing I came in yet. I start walking over to him trying to hide my excitement. Spencer sees me and runs towards me taking me into his arms.

"Happy six months baby" Spencer says kissing the top of my head

"Happy six months Spencie"

We both just stay there in each others arms for a minute, before Hotch comes over to us.

"Why don't you take today off. You guys can do any work you need to on later." he says with a slight smile

"Thanks Hotch" we both say as we let each other go

After walking to my desk I pick up my flowers that Spencer got me. We both walk out the door.

As we make our way to Spencer and I's apartment, Spencer tells me to close my eyes.

"Why do I need to close my eyes Spence?" I say while giggling

"Just do it" he said giving me a huge smile

"Fine"

I close my eyes and Spencer opens the door. He put his hand on my back leading me into our apartment. He shuts the door behind him and I hear some things moving around and then I hear a match being lit. What is he doing I thought

"You can open your eyes now princess"

When I open my eyes I see my favorite flowers on the table, my favorite food, and my favorite wine.

"Spence I-I don't know what to say"

"This is amazing, you're amazing"  I say starting to tear up
