Chapter Six

Angelina's POV:

  As Chris charged at me, I told myself enough was enough. I had my gun with me, loaded with ammo, and I was ready to use it on him, because with the portal closing, I would never make it if the bastard kept stalling me. I took out my gun, as Chris charged at me, and I pulled the trigger, and shot Chris in the heart, and the man fell dead. Once that was done, I quickly turned, as the portal began closing. Run, you fool! Run to the portal before it closes! I thought to myself as I sprinted towards the portal, and just in time, I leapt in, just as the portal closed.  I was swept into darkness as first, and it didn't take me long to land on the ground, and I had no time to look at my surroundings, because I crash landed rather hard, as pain throbbed in my head.  The only thing I can remember is hearing Madison and Caroline calling out to me.  "Aunt Angie! She made it! Gandalf, She made it!" I could hear Caroline cry out.  I sat up, and I looked down. I noticed my clothing wasn't the same clothing I wore when I left.   I discovered I'm now wearing dark brown leggings, and burgandy tunic, with white sleeves and laces on the front, and green cloak.  

 I touched my ears.  They are pointed! Now I'm an elf! Gandalf wasn't bluffing at all! Great! Which means Thorin won't remember me at all!  I sat down, trying to process all what happened in my mind. I couldn't believe we're actually here in Middle Earth--for real. I'm in a fiction world, something I thought would never happen in my entire life, even as an adult.  I was really hoping this was all a dream, but it wasn't.  I noticed  Madison and Caroline running towards me, tears in their eyes. They looked very angry and upset.  "Why, Aunt? You never told us that the dwarves and Bilbo have forgotten all about us!! Now they are treating us like dirt!!" shouted Caroline. "Especially your beloved Thorin! Remember how all nice he acted towards us? Now he's being a real arse towards us!" chimed in Madison.  I groaned, and I glared at Gandalf.  I felt the need to slap that old man. How dare he do this us? Why did he do this to us? 

"Come, its time to get reaquainted with the Company." said Gandalf. "No shit, Sherlock!" I could hear Caroline grumble, as we followed Gandalf where the Company is standing.  I approached the Company, and I stepped towards looking at Thorin first.  Gandalf introduces us to them.  To my shock and horror, the only look I got from Thorin is nothing but anger and suspicion.  I felt my heart shattered to pieces. He promised me before we left, he would remember me as Angelina.  "Gandalf we need to talk!" I heard Thorin bellow to the wizard. "What's the problem, Thorin?" asked Gandalf.  "We cannot take these women with us! And secondly, the nerve of you inviting a she elf!! You know better to tag an elf along, especially when we hate elves, wizard!!" Thorin snapped.  "Thorin, stop it! Stop it! How can you not remember who I am?! I told you before we left that I am the same person you met in Springfield!" I shouted, tears streaming down my face. 

 But Thorin only gave me a long angry glare.  "Thorin, remember the 'date' I took you on, two weeks prior before we left the house? A picnic in the park? You tried to row a boat, and you failed at it, and you tipped it over, and we both fell in the water laughing?! And what about the Carousel ride?" I ranted.  "Sorry, woman, I don't even know you. I don't even know what 'date' means! The  last time I checked, I don't know who you are! And the time I checked, I dont recall involved in courtship with an elf!" hissed Thorin.  "Gandalf, send us back now!" I demanded angrily to the wizard. "I'm sorry, Miss Burbank, its not in my power to do so." said Gandalf, gravely. Suddenly, I just lost it. I had a full melt down, in front of my nieces, in front of the Company and Thorin, in front of Bilbo.  I screamed and cursed like a mad woman. "Miss Burbank, get a hold of yourself!" Gandalf demanded. "NO! How could you do this to us, Gandalf? Why? Why did you do this us? I wished I never agreed to go on this quest in the begin with!" I continued to rant, and I marched away from the Company.  "We'll camp here tonight.  Gandalf, a word!" said Thorin.
