Chapter Twenty One

Dwalin caught up to Angelina, as he placed his hand on Angelina's shoulders, stopping her from running. "Let go of me!" shouted Angelina angrily. "Angelina, lets talk. Calm down, and lets talk." said Dwalin, firmly. "Why? All of you betrayed my trust! Especially THORIN!" screamed Angelina. "Angelina, we're all very drunk, none of this had meant had happened--but tell me why were you down here in the first place?" asked Dwalin. "Its Caroline, alright.  I caught her with something she shouldn't be having! I cannot talk about it!" sobbed Angelina. "I take it your party didn't go very well." said Dwalin, gravely. "No it  didn't.  I don't think you would understand the situation, Dwalin." said Angelina. "I wouldn't understand if won't tell me what is going between you and Caroline." said Dwalin.  Angelina sighed, as she took a couple deep breaths, and she told Dwalin what happened at the party. "WHAT?!" exclaimed Dwalin. "I felt hurt and betrayed, I don't understand why she would hide something like this from me. What happens if she'll continue to do this, and I cannot stop her from it?" wept Angelina. 

 "Angelina,  Caroline has done a terrible, terrible thing.  But she is your niece. She is your fresh and blood! I understand this is difficult for you to cope with her little problem,and lied to you about it! But you need to support her. She needs you, Angelina. Remember how all of us supported Thorin through his gold sickness? You should do the same with Caroline, and her--drug problem. You don't have to talk to her, just listen." said Dwalin. "That's not the only thing I'm upset about." said Caroline, and Dwalin knew the other thing that angered Angelina. She had caught Thorin kissing Alana, and Dwalin wished she had never seen it. "This party was a bad idea. We should have stayed in Erebor and partied there." said Dwalin. "I'm never going to forgive him for this." said Angelina. "Angelina, the wedding is in two more days! You cannot back out now." said Dwalin.  "The wedding is off Dwalin." said Angelina.  

 "Angelina, come on! Thorin is drunk, he didn't know what he is doing!" Dwalin called out to Angelina, as he watched her walk back to the Mountain. After Angelina left,  Dwalin stomped his foot in anger. "DAMN IT!" roared the dwarf.  I'm going to get this fixed one way or the other. Its time to call off this party, and then I'm going to have a chat with Thorin, thought Dwalin, as he walked back  to the pub.   Once he arrived, he announced to everyone that the party is over, and they needed to go back home.  "As for you, Thorin-we need to talk." said Dwalin,gravely. "I know what this is about, Dwalin--you don't have de tell me!" said Thorin, his voice slurred.  "We will talk after we get you sobered up. Lets go home." said Dwalin.

Later, Angelina sprinted back into the Mountain tears, running down her face, and she didn't pay attention where she is going, and she collided right into Caroline. "Aunt Angie, what's going on?!" exclaimed Caroline, noticing her Aunt very distressed. "I'm moving to the Shire with Madison. The wedding is off!!" Angelina screamed. "What do you mean the wedding is off? What is going on here?" exclaimed Caroline.  "I went for a walk, a stupid me had to enter the pub for a drink, and I didn't realize the guys were throwing their party at the pub, and I caught Thorin kissing another woman!" fumed Angelina. "Oh, that is horrible!" exclaimed Caroline.  Guilt clouded over the young girl.  She felt she had started this whole mess when she suggested the idea about the parties. She didn't realize this was getting out of hand.  "This was all your fault, Caroline! If you kept your mouth shut, none of this would have happened!!" screamed Angelina.

 "Aunt Angie, I'm sorry---yes, I should have never said anything--I never meant to cause any friction between you and Thorin!" said Caroline, tears running down her face. "It doesn't matter now.  The wedding is off." said Angelina, and she walked away from Caroline.  "Not on my watch! We're goingto have this wedding!" grumbled Caroline, and she went to find Dis.  By the time she reached the Dwarf Princess's chambers, she could hear shouting from behind the door. It was Dis yelling at Thorin and the dwarves for their behavior. She was also yelling at her sons as well, because they too were involved. "And the two of you, ought to be ashamed of yourselves. All of you made a lot o people angry, and you should man up an apologize to them." said Dis. "Tauriel doesn't know, does she?" asked Kili. "No, she doesn't!
