Author's Note: The beginning of the Rivendell scene I'm making book verse, because the part always made me laugh when the elves insult the dwarves, and in this one, some of the dwarves, alongside with Madison and Caroline come up with some backs.

As they ridden pretty much of the morning, they entered a large forest.  After riding for several hours, they reached a ford. "There are no boats! How are we going to cross the ford?" asked Madison.  "We have to cross in pairs, but we have to walk with the ponies with us! Fili, Kili, you two go first with Madison and Caroline, Angelina and I will follow behind, and the rest will follow after us!" suggested Thorin. "Well, this ford better not be deep. I'm not much of a swimmer. I should have taken lessons when I was younger!" said Madison sharply. "Don't worry, we won't let you drown, Miss Underhill!" said Kili, as they began crossing the ford.  Suddenly one of the ponies began to nay, trying to bolt from them. "You idiot!! Stop teasing the ponies!" shouted Caroline. "I wasn't teasing-AH!" cried out Fili, as he slipped in a deep area portion of the ford.  "FILI!" cried out Caroline, Madison, and Thorin together.

Angelina dove in and swam towards Fili, as she took the blonde dwarf, and swam to the other side of the ford, followed by the rest of the Company.  "Let me handle this, Aunt! I know CPR!" said Caroline, as she knelt beside the blonde dwarf. "What's CPR?" asked Oin. "Just watch." said Madison.  First, Caroline began pumping Fili's stomach. "What is she doing?!" shouted Dwalin. "Shut up, and just watch okay? She's saving his life!" yelled Madison. "It seems like that's not what she's doing!" growled Gloin. Suddenly, Caroline leaned towards, pressing her lips on Fili.  "Come on, Fili-come back to us!" Caroline whispered. And she continued the procedure again.  Suddenly, Thorin and Kili stormed over to Caroline and pushed her away. "What are you doing to him, woman?! You're killing him!!" shouted Thorin.  Suddenly to everyone's surprise, Fili's eyes opened and he sat up. "What happened?" asked Fili. "The hobbit kissed you, at a bad timing." said Glin.

Fili glared at Caroline. "Caroline, what did you do?" snapped Fili.  "I saved your sorry ass, that's what I done! I cannot believe i'm hearing this! I'm getting reprimended for saving you, when you nearly drowned!!" Caroline barked, as she bolted away. "Caroline!!" cried out Madison. "I hope you're all proud of yourselves! She done a good deed, and this is the things she gets!" snarled Angelina, as she went after her niece.

The Company continued to walk in silence, and as nightfall came, they stopped to make camp again. Gandalf announced they should reach Rivendell by tomorrow morning.  Caroline hardly had spoken to Fili since the incident at the Ford.  "Care, don't mind them. They're too macho for our liking. They don't know what a good deed is when it hits them in the ass." said Madison. "It's not fair. I don't deserve to get treated like this.  Balin and Gandalf were the only two, besides you and Auntie, complimented us! Everyone else just got angry with us, thinking something different! Accusing me of murdering him!" said Caroline. "Caroline, where are you going?" asked Madison. "For a walk! I'm pissed." Caroline replied, as she stood up and walked away from her sister. "Care, you shouldn't be walking in the woods alone! Haven't you heard of the Buddy System?!" Madison called out. "Who gives a flying crap?!" shouted Caroline, and she walked away from the Company.

"Miss Underhill, where is your sister going? She shouldn't be wandering the woods alone!" said Fili. "She's angry and wishes to be left alone."said Madison firmly, glaring at the blonde dwarf.  "Give the lass her space. We haven't been very fair to her. She saved a life of our Company. And all of you should be ashamed of yourselves for treating her the way you had done.  You have to remember their customs are different than ours. She saved Fili's life." said Balin. The dwarves bowed their heads. Even Thorin felt guilty for getting angry with the young girl. "I'll go and talk to her." said Fili, as he walked away, following Caroline's path.   Maybe I can convince her to come back to the Company, thought Fili.
