Angelina's POV:

I was being dragged and pulled into a large dark fortress.  And suddenly, I remembered after reading the Appendixes of Return of the King, my heart sank in horror.  They have brought me to Dul Guldur!! The one place I didn't want to go, was the place the orcs ended up dragging me to.  And then I thought back to the my encounter with the black shadow mass. The shadow was none other than the Necromancer, or should I say Sauron himself!  I didn't understand what he wanted to do with me, and why he kidnapped me. And now I'm afraid-its too soon to die now.  And I prayed that Gandalf would find me.  The orcs lead me to the dungeons of the evil fortress, and they threw me into the cells, locking the door before they left.  I sat on the floor burying my head in my hands. How could this possibly happen. I told myself I should have stayed at the camp, or had Thorin walk with me.  I felt stupid for walking away from the Company alone.  As I sat in the cell, I suddenly felt someone attack me. "INTRUDER!" The voice shouted at me.  I looked up and saw a man with dark greyish hair and a long beard charging at me. "Stop it! I won't hurt you! Get off of me please!" I screamed.  When the male figure heard my voice, he quickly stopped and looked at me.

"A She Elf? In a dungeon? What are you doing in here in place like this? This place is evil! You shouldn't be here!" said the man.  "I was kidnapped by orcs, and they dragged me here. By the way, my name is Angelina, Angelina Burbank." I said. "Thrain, son of Thror, at your service!" said the dwarf, and he bowed. My eyes widened in surprise.  Thorin's father! He's alive!! I couldn't believe it, I'm sitting with Thorin's father! My heart pounded quickly.  Suddenly, the dwarf recognized the beads in my braids. "Isn't those dwarven courtship beads? So you're courting a dwarf! A She Elf!  So who is this lucky gentle dwarf?" asked Thrain. "The lucky gentle dwarf just so happens to be your son, Thrain!" I said. "THORIN?! You know my son?!" exclaimed Thrain. "Yes, I do. My nieces and I joined him on a quest to reclaim Erebor. But everything went fine up until the cursed orcs kidnapped me." I said.

"Miss Burbank, I don't want my son to go near the Mountain. The place is cursed. If he enters the mountain, the same gold sickness that consumed my father is going to consume my son. I don't want to see this happen to him. And for you, my dear, this mission is very dangerous! You can get hurt." said Thrain. "Thrain, I've been on several dangerous missions before I arrived in Middle Earth I'm not afraid. My duty is to save Thorin from the sickness, that's what Gandalf asked us to be part of the quest in the beginning."  I said. "Gandalf..typical wizard." grumbled Thrain.  As I sat in deep thought, I thought of a plan of getting the both of us out here, without getting noticed.   "Thrain, we're getting out of here." I said.  "How? This place is heavily guarded!" protested Thrain. "Just watch this!" I said.  I remembered that I am an elf now, and gained magical powers, I closed my eyes, feeling the energy around me. When I opened my eyes, Thrain and I found ourselves outside of the cells. "How did you do that?" asked Thrain.  I smiled at him. "Its a secret that I cannot reveal, my friend! Come! We need to get out of here!" I said. Thrain nodded, as he followed me.

I surprised myself for finding my way around the place.  Two hours later, we stepped out of the dark fortress, and out in the open field.  I sighed with delight, feeling the fresh air. "Fresh air! I never thought of feeling it again!" I sighed. "Me too!" said Thrain, when suddenly the dwarf collapsed. "Thrain?!" I exclaimed and I ran and knelt towards the dwarf. "My body is torn, Angelina. I'm afraid I cannot make it to Lake Town." said Thrain weakly. "No, you're not going to die, Thrain! I won't let you! You have to be alive when you see your son reclaim Erebor! Please don't fade on me now!" I pleaded.  "Miss Burbank, I'm old---and due to the injuries the Necromancer had given me, has weakened me. I can no longer move." said Thrain. "Thrain, no! Let me heal you! I'm an Elf, I can heal you. Please, you have to trust me!" I said.  Thrain smiled. "Yer a good lass, Miss Burbanks! Thorin has been blessed of meeting such a wonderful, brave and courgeous woman!" said Thrain, gently.
