Kaif was looking at the starless sky, grey clouds were hiding the moon too. The darkness of the sky was reflecting on Earth

"Ayat ko bhejne ki kya zaroorat thi?" Ayla's voice came from behind, turning to his back, Kaif saw her entering terrace.

(What was the need of bribing Ayat?)

When she got his eyes on her, Ayla smiled at him.

"I thought we are in talking term now?" Casually asking him, she went to stand beside him. Her back leaned on the railing. Although the terrace was dark but faint light of bulb was coming from afar, both could see each other clearly. Ayla's face was smiling bright while kaif's face looked tense. As if, he is trying to control his emotions.

"Kya hua?" Ayla's smile turned off as she asked him.

(What happened?)

"Ayla, tum kyu karti ho yeh sab?" Kaif frustratedly asked.

(Why do you always do that?)

"Humne kya kiya?" Ayla confusingly asked.

(What I have done?)

"Jab janti thi ki mummy aaj tumhare Ghar arahi Hain toh Kya zaroorat thi college jane ki?"

(You knew mummy is coming to your house then why did you left for college?)

"What?" Ayla was still confused until she realized he is talking about morning.

"Kaif, important class thi humari." Ayla tried make him understand.

(I had important class.)

"To the hell with your class." Kaif made his voice stern which startled Ayla.

"You are crossing your limit, Kaif." Controlling over her emotions, Ayla also made her voice hard.

"Class agar important na hoti toh hum na jate. Aur kis baat pe itna gussa Hai apko? Jewelries hi toh dene ayi thi tayi ammi."

(I wouldn't have gone to University if the class wasn't important. And why are you making a big issue out of it? She came here to give jewelries only.)

"Baat sirf jewelries ki nahi Hai. Baat yeh Hai ki mummy tumhari pasand Janna chahti thi. Tumhare liye yeh baat choti hogi but just imagine how humiliated mummy have felt when she came to your house to meet you and you weren't there." Kaif's voice had frustration.

(This is not about jewelries. Mummy wanted to know you view on them. To you, the thing was small..)

"Humiliated? Are you serious right now? Konsa bohot durr se ayi thi... Amne samne rehte Hain hum log...."

(She didn't came from far.. we live in same house...)

"Amne samne, ya jewelries ki baat nahi ho rahi Hai. Tum mujhe batao, jaisa tumne aaj meri mummy ke sath kiya Hai kabhi apni mummy ke sath karogi?"

(This isn't about jewelries or that we live in same house. Just tell me one, you would have done same thing with your mother what you did to mine?)

"Meri mummy? Tumhari mummy? Wow! Kaif! I never thought you'll use this term." A look of disbelief crossed her face which she quickly covered with a sarcastic smile.

(My mummy? Your mummy?)

"Hum apni mummy ki respect karte Hain. Aur hum apni tayi ammi ki bhi bohot respect karte Hain. Isliye nahi ki woh apki mummy hai ya ab humari saas Hain. Isliye kyuki woh Meri badi hain aur meri parwarish mein unka bhi hath Hai. Bachpan bohot khayal rakha Hai unhone humara. Woh humari tayi ammi Hain isliye hum unki respect karte Hain." Ayla empathize my and you .
