Three years later*

The sun casts a warm glow over the bustling city streets as Hanan grips the steering wheel, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. Ayat was sitting in the passenger seat, her gaze drifting from the passing buildings to the horizon.

Hanan stole a quick glance at Ayat. "Sham mein mere dost ki shadi hai, yaad haina."

(It's my friend's wedding in the evening, remember?)

"Haan, hume yaad hai," Ayat turns her head to face Hanan, a hint of curiosity in her eyes. "Lekin hume yeh samajh nahi araha hum pehne kya."

(Yes, I remember,)

(But I am not sure what to wear.)

Hanan's lips curl into a mischievous smile as he ponders for a moment. "Woh black wali saree jo main laya tha..."

(That black saree which I bought for you...)

Ayat's eyes widen, and she quickly shook her head. "Humse saree mein nahi chala jayega. Gir wir gaye toh."

(I can not walk in saree. What if I'll fall.)

"Main sambhal lunga." Hanan grins and wink at her.

(I'll hold you in my arms.)

Ayat giggles but then shakes her head again. "Nahi, hum koi suit pehenege."

(No, I will wear suit.)

Hanan sighs in mock disappointment, but his eyes sparkle with affection. "Jo mann kare tumhara. Tum waise bhi har dress mein pyari hi lagti ho."

(Whatever you want to wear. You look pretty in everything.)

Ayat can't help but blush, her cheeks turning a rosy shade.

Hanan pulls the car to a stop in front of the hospital, and he leans over to give Ayat a gentle kiss on the cheek. "Pyari si chuhiya,"

(Pretty as a little mouse.)

Hanan got down from the car, and went to open the door for Ayat.

And Ayat, who was blushing on his comment, was now furious in the mention of mouse.

Something never changes, Hanan calling her mouse and not leaving a chance to tease is one of them. Once, he was scolding Berry for killing a mouse, saying that mouse is Ayat's relative and Berry have hurt Ayat's feelings.

"Aap sudherenge nahi?" Getting down from the car, Ayat looked at him with sharp eyes and asked.

(You won't change, will you?)

"Bigra hi kab tha main?" In return, Hanan asked.

(I'm perfect this way.)

"Hanan, aap..." Ayat opens her lips to scold him, but she couldn't think of anything. "Impossible hai," shaking her head, Ayat told him, but her lips curved up into a smile.

(You are impossible.)

"I know, that's why you love me." Leaning toward Ayat, Hanan whispers.
