"I think you both ate your weight in pancakes," Luke said as he carried the stack of plates away from Lorelai and Rory.

"You knew long ago what you were getting into with us," Rory replied grinning. "I think it's time we head home, give your table back to you so you don't start charging us rent."

"Ah I sleep with the owner." Lorelai continued, "Just don't tell my husband." She stood and kissed Luke over the counter. "See you at home." He knodded.

Rory was already waiting for Lorelai at the door. She waved and the ladies walked home completely stuffed, but Rory still deep in thought of what she would say to Logan.

Rory woke up to a silent house. These mid afternoon naps courtesy of the first trimester were becoming a regular thing. 'Luke and Mom must be out celebrating', she thought as she groggily sat up.

She reached over to her nightstand, picking up her cell phone. She had deleted Logan's phone number that morning she said goodbye. But it didn't matter- she had programmed his number into so many phones she could dial it without even looking. She didn't even realize she was actually dialing until she was on the second to last number.

"Ahh!" She threw the phone into the chair across the room. She knew she wasn't ready for that conversation yet. She stood up and grabbed the red notebook that had once been used to take her notes during interviews off her desk. She flipped to a blank page and sat down at her desk. Rory laughed at herself as she drew the line down the middle of the paper and wrote PRO on the left and CON on the right. In her mind, she imagined Logan laughing at her. The PRO-CON list was her trusted source for decision making- 'old habits die hard' she thought as she began to write.

Pro: baby grows up with a dad
Con: ODETTE
Pro: I can tell Logan how I really feel
Con: will change his life
Pro: I give him the option of what he wants to do
Con: I give him the option of what he wants to do

Rory stared at the page. There it was. Her biggest fear written down. Giving Logan the choice to walk away. The choice of choosing Odette over her. That very choice was what made her walk away. She thought that would have made it easier on her. Allow her to save face and not have her heart ripped out when he enevitabily chose Odette. She stared at the page shaking her head slowly, knowing that if she were in therapy still this is what her therapist would call a "break through".

"I think I'm gonna be sick," she said aloud to herself. Before she knew it, she was throwing up in her small garbage can next to her desk.

Was it the morning sickness she had heard so much about? Was it the pounds of pancakes and donuts she ate at Luke's? Or was it this sickening realization of how she really felt about Logan and why she ended it all?

She sat up wiping the corners her mouth with a random tissue that was laying on her desk. She was still unsure of so much, but knew ultimately that her pro-con list only made her realize what she had known all along.

She had to tell Logan.

She had to put the figurative ball in his court.

She walked over to the chair and grabbed her phone. Dialing, she began to pace her room.

A friendly voice answered on the other end. "Dynasty Makers. Making your dynasty happen today. This is Rayna, how can I direct your call?"

"Ms. Gellar please. This is Rory...Rory Gilmore." She figured she better get her name out before she chickened out. 'No turning back now', she realized as she waited on hold.

"Rory! Have you finally decided to let me use those smart eggs of yours? Like I said you can make prime dollar selling those." Paris blatantly asked upon picking up the phone.

Rory laughed nervously. "Ugh, no. Nope. I was just calling to see if we could get together."

"You called my work number for that? Really Rory? Are we being that formal? Have you really taken Doyle's side?"

"Of course not," Rory assured her. "I just wanted to actually talk to you and I know how you are when you are at your office about answering your cell, or texts, or emails...." Rory trailed off.

"Yeah yeah...I mean growing a business and keeping my clients happy and popping out babies takes dedication. I didn't get fertility doctor of the year 3 years in a row for sitting on Facebook all day. But of course I have time for my best friend....tomorrow at noon? Meet me at the office?"

"Perfect, I'll see you then."

They hung up and Rory was actually glad they were meeting at her office. Maybe when she asked her to be her doctor Paris would be more professional and use less expletives than if they were at Paris' townhouse.
