The good bye, or rather see you soon, had been perfect. Rory and Logan planned for Logan to come to Stars Hollow in 2 weeks for Rory's next doctors appointment.  The aftermath of the news of "Baby Huntzberger" as their child had been lovingly monikered in the newspapers was less. Rory knew Mitchum could have stopped this charade. He had stopped stories from being in his papers for less. But this time he instead chose to allow culture postings such as "Huntzberger Baby on the way" or "Baby Huntzberger Coming, Not with French Ex-Fiancée".

"Why the hell would he do this?" Rory asked aloud, as she skimmed through the internet publications.

"I am sorry, the connection must be bad," Logan replied, via speakerphone. "This is MITCHUM we are talking about. Are you honestly asking WHY he would be a prick?"

Rory shook her head. "I mean, I KNOW he does this but why to us? Moreover, why to you?"

"I stopped asking that a long time ago, Ace. Collectively we ruined his precious merger with Odette's dad's company and for that we are on the shit list. And while it is a rather long list, we are the most recent disappointment so we get his full attention for a while. But, you know how it is with things like this they will die down and people will stop caring. Mitchum will stop caring."

"I know I know, but I am really not sure how much longer mom and Luke can keep hiding papers from me. It is very transparent. Plus, ya know the internet does not allow anything to stay hidden."

"Get off the internet, Ace. It is a waste of time. And besides, Honor was stoked and could not stop herself from sending a gift. It should be there sometime soon." Rory clicked her browser closed.

"A gift? Really?" Rory sounded intrigued.

"Yes a gift and you can even open it without me."

"I would have anyways," Rory replied, laughing.

"I hate to do this Ace, but I have to run. Board meeting is waiting on me. And--"

"I know go-go. I will talk to you later."

"And stay off the papers." Logan hung up and Rory knew he was right. Mitchum was doing this to get under her skin. Logan was used to his father's antics, and Rory had thought the days of the Huntzberger Shanghai's we over but here she was- right in the middle of one.

"Ror-" Lorelai called from the other room. "I need some help at the Dragonfly today. Do you think you could notch out time in that busy schedule of yours and come help your poor mother?" Lorelai was now standing in the doorway of Rory's room, Rory's coat dangling on her finger.

"It is busy.. 9am eat more pop-tarts, 11am nap while watching TV and pretending I am not napping...." A smile grew on Rory's face. "Of course I will, mom. As long as I don't have to help Kirk set up for his one man show again."

"Clearly, you have been out of sorts. Kirk is now doing a two man show and cast himself in both roles. But, no that show isn't set to come back for week." Lorelai laughed. "C'mon kid."

They sat at the front desk, tired from cleaning the departed guests rooms.

"This is very Maid in Manhattan mom. I cleaned the toilet, I puked in the toilet, I cleaned the toilet again. I think it is time you hired a replacement for Rozie. It has been months since she quit and housekeepers we are not."

Lorelai scoffed. "There is just no one out there qualified like we are. That spit shine today can not be beat." "On a serious note, when do you think you will tell her?"

"Tell her?" Rory questioned. "Emily already knows. C'mon now. It will be a whole 'They don't know that we know they know we know' thing."

"Friends quotes aside. You really should tell her, kid." Rory nodded in agreement. "I guess we can drive out there tomorrow." Lorelai dialed the numbers and handed the phone to Rory. "No backing out now , kid."

"Emily Gilmore," said a familiar voice on the other end.

"Grandma, it's me. Rory."

"Oh, yes Rory. I had to make sure you still knew who I was because I thought you had forgotten."

"It hasn't been that long. We talked last month."

"OH I know," Emily replied. "But I figured you must have forgotten since I got to read that you and Logan were back together AND having a baby in the Nantucket News." Rory sunk back in her seat and mouthed, 'she knows already' to her mom.

The remainder of the conversation was filled with 'yes, grandma', 'I know grandma', 'yes, very bad tact' but ended with a 'we will see you tomorrow for lunch'.

Rory and Logan's secret was out to the world fully now. Emily Gilmore now knew from Rory and there was no stopping the news now.
