Rory sat on the steps of her home tracing the wood pattern with her fingertips. She had sat here so many times planning the ways in which she was going to take over the world. The papers she would write for. The stories she would write. The lives she would touch. But now she just thought of the one life she was about to change forever. One call would surely change his life. And damn the ripple affect of that call- but it had to be made. Paris was right about that. She knew that her own father regretted not being around when she was born and she could never do that to someone that she cared about.

"Pop-tart for your thoughts?" Lorelai thrust a pop-tart into Rory's view and plopped down next to her on the steps. Rory grabbed the pop-tart and took a bite.

"My thoughts...dangerous territory right now." Rory bit down on her lip nervously, but continued anyway. "I know what I have to do but there really doesn't seem like a right way to do it. Like, how do you knowingly change someone else's life forever? How do you lay everything you got on the line? How do you give someone the chance to pass on it? How do you--"

"Whoa Whoa Whoa, Kid. That's what this is about. You think Logan will pass on you and the baby? If he is is dumb enough to pass kid, that is his loss." Rory looked up at her mom, tears filling her eyes and beginning to spill out.

"I am a mess mom. I wouldn't want to take on this." Rory opened her arms up as if displaying herself.

Lorelai smiled. "Ror, YOU are still my beautiful, smart, talented daughter. And this baby, YOUR baby, will be beautiful and smart and talented. And anyone, ANYONE, who fails to see that does not deserve to be in either of your atmospheres." Rory looked up, wiping the tears away from her eyes just in time to see Luke pulling into the drive. "And if you want to practice telling someone," Lorelai continued, "Luke is a good candidate." Rory nodded in agreement. She stood up and almost triumphantly met Luke as he was walking into the yard. She threw her arms around his neck while balancing on her tip toes.

"I'm not sure what this is for but I will take it." Luke wrapped his arms around Rory. She pulled back looking into his eyes.

"You are going to be the best grandpa Luke. Just the best." Luke's eyes widened and then a smile grew on his face. He picked Rory up spinning her around. Rory giggled, for the first time feeling the excitement of someone truly excited for the bean growing in her belly. Lorelai had walked over to join them now and revel in the excitement with her husband.

"Oh this is just great! I can build him...or her... a crib and a changing table. I think oak will be perfect...or maybe pine..." Lorelai put her arm around him.

"Gear down big shifter. You got some time to work on those designs." Lorelai pulled Rory into them and they stood on the lawn hugging for a few moments. "I could go for some celebratory ice cream though."

"When couldn't you go for celebratory ice cream?" Luke chuckled. They all began walking towards the house. Lorelai pulled Rory to the side a bit.

"See, Kid. This. This right here. Anything less than this reaction and I will throat punch Logan. Throat. Punch."

Rory smiled knowing her mom was right.

Rory was sitting cross legged on the couch watching "An Affair To Remember". Eating Rocky Road ice cream, and watching "An Affair to Remember" reminded her of Logan. Reminded her of a time when he was chasing after her. The flowers. The Harry & David's fruit. The donuts. Lorelai's letter. The coffee cart. She smiled to herself. She did miss coffee, had given it up cold turkey when she found out she was pregnant. But more than anything she did miss Logan.

She got up off the couch and walked to the computer in her room. She stared at the google bar for what seemed like forever, before finally typing the words.

FLIGHTS TO LONDON

So many options came up and she clicked on the red eye leaving tonight at 10:30pm. She entered in her information, clicked on purchase with miles and then purchase quickly, before she could stop herself. She sat staring at the screen almost surprised by her own moxie.

She threw a couple of outfits into a bag, along with her toiletry bag and the pictures Paris had printed for her from the sonogram. She picked up her phone, and she began a text message. She input Logan's number from memory and wrote a quick nondescript message.

Flying back to London. Be in tomorrow morning. Meet for breakfast? Really need to see you.

-Rory

The send button was hit before she could question this move. Was it the right move? She didn't know but she knew she had to put the ball in his court. She walked into the kitchen to tell Luke and Lorelai the plan. Before she could even get all the details out, her phone went off indicating a text message.

Swiping open her phone, she saw it was from Logan.

Ace? As I live and breathe. Glad to hear that you are coming back over the pond. Tomorrow for breakfast sounds great. The Table Cafe? 10am? Looking forward to it. -L

She replied quickly.

"Perfect. -Rory"

She finished telling Luke and Lorelai about the trip she planned while they ate dinner. They were both in agreement that this was a good thing to do in person.

"You got this kid. Make sure you sleep on the plane." Lorelai took a bite of her cheeseburger. "And remember, the throat punch offer is still on the table."

"Bye Mom. Bye Luke. Thanks for the advice. I will call you and let you know how it goes. My Uber is here...Love you guys." Rory grabbed her bag, threw on her scarf and walked out the door.
