My phone started ringing again for the third time in a row and it took every bit of strength left in me to not throw it against the wall.
"You're going to have to face her sooner or later," Charlie said from beside me, shutting his locker and running his hand through his sweaty hair.
I grabbed a T-shirt out of my locker that wasn't drenched in sweat and slipped it on without answering Charlie. Practice today had been brutal, no doubt coach had gotten into a fight with his old lady again and was taking it out on the team.
Charlie, Chunk, Jayden, Squid and I all walked out of the locker room together and started off towards the dorms. It was already almost six, usually practice was done by five at the latest and all I was ready to do was go to bed.
"Kent Agather!"
"Ah fuck," I groaned and stopped walking, there was only one thing worse than Missy tracking you down; Missy sprinting to track you down. Because if you ran from her the screaming would be more intense and even more loud.
"Busted!" Chunk called out, gaining laughter from the rest of the guys who continued walking except for Charlie. He was probably making sure Missy didn't freak and try to hit me again.
"What do you want?" I asked, finally turned around to face my malicious ex. She looked good today though I had to admit, even though she was furious.
"Excuse me? I've been trying to get a hold of you all day," Missy's lips pressed together in a frown and she stood in her signature stance when upset - one hand on the hip and the other hanging in the air with her palm up, as if wanting you to give her something.
"Yeah, I saw," I coldly replied, hearing Charlie laugh behind me but a quick glare from Missy shut him up quick.
"Is it true then?" She asked, taking another step towards me. She was wearing the perfume she always wore, the one I had gotten her for Christmas last year. Bitch, throw that away like you threw my heart out. "A girl is your roommate this year?"
"Yeah it's true, why is that any of your business?" I asked and Missy started laughing her evil laugh.
"You do realize that is completely against school policy?" Missy rolled her eyes and flicked her hair off her shoulder, "So that's why I haven't heard from you, she has all your attention now, huh?"
Now I rolled my eyes and scoffed down at the drama Queen, "You haven't heard from me because I don't want to talk to you, Missy. We broke up, well you broke us up, remember that?"
"That was last school year!"
"It was four months ago," Again I heard Charlie chuckle behind me and I wondered why he was still standing there. Then I remembered just how crazy Missy can get and I was thankful he was still around. Knowing Missy she'd have some huge sob story to tell her little cult tomorrow.
"I thought we were going to work this out?" Missy now looked hurt, her perfectly plucked eyebrows drawing inward and a signature pout forming on her lips.
"I thought about it," I made a show to pretend I was really thinking about that option then started laughing, "I'm good,"
I turned around and started walking towards the dorms again with Charlie but I could hear Missy's heels clicking behind us.
"You really don't want me as an enemy, Kent," She threatened and I laughed even harder, still not turning to look back at her.
"I'll take my chances, Miss," I was expecting more screaming or for her to even hit me upside the head with her book again but nothing happened. I didn't even hear her heels behind us anymore.
