Sirius was grinning maniacally that day, waiting for the girl to arrive by floo.

"Sirius?" Amelia coughed. She had inhaled some ash.

"Hey, Mel," Sirius rushed in, "Can you help with some of the food? Thanks!"

He was about to rush out when Amelia said, "Impedimenta!" and he slowed down.

"Did you just ask me to help with the food? What, do you want the house to burn down?"

Sirius cursed at his stupidity. Yeah, Amelia loved cooking, but she was a Slytherin and could tell when someone had plans like this.

"Alright, fine," Sirius groaned. At least he was a Black and had good Occlumency shields, "Come on, into the kitchen."

Amelia's brow furrowed, but he followed him nonetheless, wand out.

But of course, before she could do anything, she was bombarded by the one and only Walburga Black.

Her portrait, of course.

"So you're back again, are you?" she yelled, "Filthy mudblood!"

"Please!" Amelia scoffed, "I don't want to do this again for the five hundred ninety-four thousand, four hundred seventy-second time, but I have more magic in my blood than you do, and you know that. So shut up!"

She wordlessly and wandlessly threw the curtains closed again and followed Sirius again to the kitchen.

"I'm surprised you came back here, Siri," she said.

"I'm surprised you met my mum that many times," Sirius answered, "We're even."

"Fair enough," Amelia entered the kitchen and abruptly stopped at the person sitting on the table.

"Sirius, who is that?" she asked through the side of her mouth.

"That," Sirius said proudly, "Is Harry James Potter."

Amelia blinked as her mask slid onto her face once again, something she'd started in her second year at Hogwarts, and looked at the boy who had grown (not that much) from the last time she'd seen him.

Of course, she couldn't help but notice how the boy looked like a James Potter doppelganger, and remember what Potter did to her in third year. His face when she asked why they bullied her so, and how they answered by punching her in the stomach and saying that she was a Snape, related to 'Snivellus' and therefore should be punished.

She remembered feeling like sh!t for days after that, and Lily Evans adding more to it by saying that she may be a muggle-born, but she was never Evans' equal. That was when Severus stopped talking to Amelia so much when Amelia realized his crush on Evans when Camelia agreed to the war that would soon take her life when Regulus started to distance himself from her for fear that his brother would hate him. The only good thing that happened to Amelia that year was that 'Cissa and Lucius started dating.

'This isn't James or Lily,' she thought, 'this is Harry. He's different.'

"Hello, Harry," Amelia said, mask still in place, "A pleasure to see you again." She turned to Sirius, "I now regret who I invited today."

Sirius frowned, "Who?"

Just then, the floo roared and the three went to see who it was, Amelia mentally smirking at what she thought would happen.

"Snape?" Sirius said with disgust when he saw the Potions Master.

Harry just squeaked in fright and surprise.
