Chapter Thirty Four: Miyuki Sensei

I wait in the training grounds for my new trainer. It's eight in the morning. The exact date, time and place Kakashi told me to meet them. If they're unpunctual like him, he's going to be getting an earful from me next time I see him.

Feeling a pressence behind me, I turn my head to see a middle-aged woman trying to sneak up on me. She has her curly brown hair pulled up into a ponytail. Her white ghostlike eyes stare back at me with great interest. We both sweat drop at her poor attempt to scare me.

"So, you're the Yoshida Kakashi's been telling me about. How cute," She's mesmerized by me. "He told me you were short and flimsy-looking. Well, we'll work on that." She calls me cute and then says I look weak. How contradicting..

"So, you're the one who taught my mother," I waste no time.

"Geez, Kakashi's such a blabber mouth," she groans.

"He didn't tell me. Just you're a Leaf Ninja," I state, "He said you're experienced with the Yoshida. Well, the only other Yoshida that has ever resided within the Leaf other than myself is Haruka Yoshida."

"Oh right," she snaps her fingers. "You're a clever one. Sorry, sometimes I forget kids like you aren't as stupid as they seem." I'm not sure if that was a compliment, an insult, or a mere statement?

"Um, Lily Yoshida," I introduce, holding my hand out for her to shake.

She high fives it, "Miyuki Kobayashi. Alright so where to start?... I heard you have an over abundance of chakra in your possession."

"Yeah, I have an oyster-crab inside me," I say bluntly which causes her to laugh sheepishly. Frankly, I'm tired of these adults sugar coating this fact.

"Well, I see there's no need for me to beat around the bush, got it," she smiles. "Okay so here's the thing. You have an immense amount of chakra, but you're sloppy. You struggle to be technical with your Kekkei Genkai unlike most Yoshida because you're not in conrtol of your chakra's shape or amount. I was told had a run in with Orochimaru, tell me about that."

"Ever since he did whatever the hell he did, my chakra has been more tolerable..." I try to
explain. "I've been better at scanning the presence of others in my environment much more quickly..."

She puts her hand in front of my ribs, allowing her hand to glow a certain blue. She takes a few seconds and comes back to look at me. "He's definitely tampered with that seal. You see, when this seal was used to put the Sanbi in you, some of your dark chakra merged with it. However, most of it completely repelled. The two chakras are incompatible. Now, they're working alongside with one another. So, you're dark Yoshida chakra is working efficiently. Still too much chakra to manipulate, but that's a start... I'll be honest kid, no one can teach you how to manipulate your Kekkei Genkai like another Yoshida..."

"W-What? Then what are you gonna teach me?" I question.

"You have three types of chakra. I'm going to teach you to control it. Getting better at your Kekkei Genkai is going to have to wait. See, Lily, as cool as the Puranto Sosa is, it's not really your style. Like I said, you're a hider. You can easily avoid your brother's vines if we also train your mind and speed. If anything, while against him, you need to use your Kekkei Genkai moreso for defense or other small tricks I notice you use during the Preliminaries."

"Wait, you saw that?" I ask her.

"Yep. Anyways, I see you have your own tricks, but I have one Yoshida technique I can teach you. One you can use when your close enough to Basil Yoshida," she tells me. "As for your physical strength, I see you as a little spy of sorts. So too much muscle will get in your way, it'll just make you more visible and easier to target. But we still need to get a little more strength in your physical attacks for Taijutsu."
