I sit in the grass, looking at all the herbs I collected. Sage, chickweed, and basil... I sigh, I wish he was here. I wish he could see just how amazing the Leaf Village is. It's pretty in the day. At night, however, it's hard. It's silent and I remember too much. I really hate being alone in the dark."Watch out!" A bud of orange comes crashing into my plants. The project of the day is to collect medicinal herbs.
"Idiot." I sigh, as he stands up to look at me.
"Who are you calling an idiot?!" He shouts, "You're the one who thought I was that jerk, Sasuke!"
I groan, remembering my mistake, "You won't let that go, will ya? You can still be more careful, you know? Slow down, maybe."
His plants, mix with mine on the ground. I look a little closer and giggle. He perks up an eyebrow, "What?"
"You're going to poison someone." I shake my head, "That's poison hemlock and jimson weed. You might wanna find something else."
He gives me a sharp look, thinking. This blonde is very stubborn. "Yeah, well, how do you know?"
I shrug, "I grew up with plants." I grab a basil leaf and hold it up to him. "We only need to pick out two types of plants. I already have two so, here."
"Why are you being so nice to me?" He inquires suspiciously, "Aren't you going to keep scolding me or something?"
Once again, I answer carelessly, "Eh, you should be more careful but I'm not going to hold a trial against you over it."
"You're weird." He says. How Ironic coming from him. He holds the basil leaf out to me. "Here, I don't need help, I can do it on my own."
I look at the leaf in his hands, and stand up with my own herbs. "It's better to get a fifty than a zero."
"I don't want your help-."
"Yeah and I don't care about what you want." I say, walking away. He's stubborn and annoying but, he's tolerable. For whatever reason most people dislike him. And for another reason he thinks he can do everything by himself or atleast wants to prove that he can.
"She's so weird..." He grumbles underneath his breath. Yeah, well that makes two of us.

"No wonder you can only make friends with boys." Ino, the blonde girl, snorts. "You keep running into Naruto and you'll find yourself with no friends at all."
Everyone was outside during free time, waiting for Iruka to come out and teach.
"He makes better company than you." I retort, stuffing my hands into the pockets of my hooded shirt.
"Leave Lily alone." Shikamaru rolls his eyes, "She can hang out with whoever she wants."
"I'm just saying . The girl could use a few pointers. If she hangs out with you too much she'll start slacking off." Ino criticizes.
I let out a sigh, "Will you shut up? You're voice is so annoying. You know who doesen't bust my ear drums out everytime they speak? Naruto."
Ino lets out a 'humph', stalking off. Yes, go bother Sakura. You tell the girl to go to hell once and suddenly she becomes your enemy. Well, maybe it's my fault she hates me...
"You always argue with Naruto, yet here you are defending him." Shikamaru notes.
"I argue with him when he ticks me off." I respond bluntly, "Sometimes I annoy him too. I have a reason to argue with him. I don't do it just for the hell of it."
