The sun has ascended into the sky. Now we walk up the steps of the tower. I'm taking a nap once we're all set here. Maybe they'll give us a break. Sakura supports Sasuke's body. The curse mark on his neck has been taking out a lot from him. He really needs a break. Two more ninja walk up, Kabuto's team, "Kabuto, you're late."
"Sorry," Kabuto relents, "I got a little side tracked."
"Yeah and we're glad!" Naruto gushes, "After all, it was only thanks to you we got the second scroll!"
"Not really," Kabuto says, "You did most of the work. Especially you, Naruto. Very impressive."
Naruto laughs gleefully, but I'm still not convinced by Kabuto's kindness. Even Sasuke is starting become more dubious. I noticed back there. Kabuto pointed out the mark on Sasuke's neck. He was immediately thrown off by this.
"Well, we have to go through this other door," Kabuto tells us, "Goodluck to you." He gives us a cheezy thumbs up.
We turn to our door and Naruto opens it. The four of us file inside. We stand in a room with a message at the very front of it. Other than that, it's empty. There isn't much to it at all.
"What's the big deal?" Naruto asks. "There's nobody here."
"It's okay, Sakura. I can manage," Sasuke assures her, moving from away from her supportive arm.
We all step closer to look at the manuscript on the wall. Sakura reads, "If qualities of heaven are your desire, require wisdom to make your mind higher. If earthly qualities are what you lack, train your body and prepare to attack. When Heaven and Earth are opened together the perilous path can become righteous forever. This -something- is what guides us from this place today."
Great, so there's a children's riddle on the wall.
"This what?" Naruto is confused, "Or is that a secret to?"
"It's like there's a word missing," Sakura confers. "I think we're supposed to open and read them."
"Yeah, now we can get the hell out of here." I say.
Naruto hands a scroll to Sakura. They peel them open and carefully. I expected more, but nope. No big explosion. No fancy buffet. Nothing.
"A man," Sakura tilts her head in confusion as she read, "A person?"
Smoke starts to come from the scrolls. "A summoning justu... You two! Drop the scrolls!" Sasuke orders. They both throw them to the very front of the room. We watch in anticipation as the smoke rises. A small sounds comes from them and the smoke begins to clear out.
"Hey, long time, no see," Iruka greets.
"Holy shit, it's Iruka Sensei," I baffle.
"I guess, you're mouth is still the same, Lily," he sighs.
"I'm working on it," I say.
"No she isn't," Sasuke calls me out.
"It's been so long and you guys are still the same," Iruka chuckles. "It looks like you've been through a lot." He doesn't even know the half of it. We were violated by a man-snake and then tortured by sound waves.
"Hold up, what's with the surprise entrance?" Naruto inquires. "Why did you use a Summoning Jutsu?"
"You see, at the end of the exam; we Chunin, are supposed to welcome you back. It was just mere luck that I got to be the important messenger for you guys," he informs.
