A/N: So, I'm changing the time from present tense to past tense for this story. Sorry in advance if it throws you off!

We tried to catch up, Basil and I. I had forgotten that we were still in the middle of the Chunin Exams. Part of him, hadn't even cared. We ignored the chakras that were battling it out. Then, we ignored the chakras that had arrived. But I wanted to talk more. I hadn't shared a real conversation with my brothers in years. The exams could wait.

He told me of Clematis. How she was kind and sweet. How despite his cold attitude towards everyone else, he loved Clematis with the utter most care. He was protective of her and she had kept him sane. It made me utterly happy to know he still was a caring older brother towards our little sister. Clem was there when I wasn't.

When he told me of Reed, my heart broke. After I had left, Reed was no longer the same. He was zombie-like, sad, and tired. He spents his days smelling like alcohol and aimlessly completing missions. He was robotic, a weapon. Basil said there was not much fight in him, but if there was it was for me and my siblings. Basil had treated him coldly, just like any of the other Yoshdia. But Reed would push back and argue. I believed it was because no matter what, he loved us too dearly to completely lose hope for us.

Finally our father was the cold leader he always was. He had not care for Clem and only valued Basil for his Yoshida-like nature. To him, Clem was weak and her soft nature was too much of a liability. Our father had become what his own father wanted him to be and now he wanted the same for Basil.

He was just about to tell me of Cedrus when we felt a sudden commotion. We traded looks and got to our feat, making our way out of the infirmay and through inside halls of the arena.

"What the actual hell is that?" Basil muttered. I could feel it too well and it was overwhelming. It was overwhelming because the chakra was too familiar that it had been terrifying.

'I feel him,' Isobu breathed.

"Gaara," I said and Basil's eyes snapped in surprise. "It's the beast sealed inside him. It feels exactly like..."

Maybe we had been too focused on our sibling reunion. Perfect way to catch a Yoshida off gaurd: When they're concentrating a little to hard on one thing. Those were words from Reed.

"Lily?" Basil rose a brow.

"This is about to be a shit storm," I commented as we exited out of the hall and into an area where the audience sat. I could see Naruto and Shikamaru with Kakashi, Sakura, Ino, Lee, and Guy all the way on the other side of the audience.

I looked down to see Sasuke shooting into Gaara with an electricity-fueled attack. A scream came from Gaara. The red head was inside a ball of sand, using it as a defense mechanism. Sasuke was able to break right through it with one move. A move I hadn't seen, though I'm certain it had been Kakashi who taught him it.

"No one even notices what's going on," I said as Gaara's defense crippled. Kakashi had seemed nonchalant up until now. I'm guessing he was perfectly fine with Sasuke going up against Gaara.

Before I could act and alert someone, white feathers fell from the sky. I noticed Gaara flee the scene, being held up by his siblings.

"Release," Basil placed his hands together, noticing the Genjutsu. I did the same. The civilians around us weren't so lucky, they fell right asleep. Many slumped in their chairs or sprawled out on the ground.

"The hell is this?" Basil looked around as Sand and Sound ninja began fighting Leaf Ninja and ANBU. "Look," he pointed up to where the Kazekage sat with Lord Third. A purple field surrounded them, no ANBU were able to get through.
