Chapter 1

I woke up early to do some things that I need to. I can't remove the smile on my lips since I woke up. I take a bath quickly and go out of the bathroom. I apply a bit of maquillage as I blower my hair. I wear my favorite light blue blouson dress. When I walk out of my room, I saw Jisoo unnie waiting for me to eat breakfast. As usual it's bacon, egg, and fried rice it's the only food that unnie can cook. Unnie is still with her pajama, she's too lazy to take it off and change. She's always like that and I'm used to it.

"Yah! Jendeuk, what's with that smile of yours? Do I have a dirt on my face?" Jisoo unnie gave me a confusing look while asking.

Little did she know that she's not the reason of my morning smile. If she has dirt on her I will just ignore it. It has no use.

"Good morning, unnie! Did you forget about it already? It's our 2nd anniversary today!" My excitement rise up once again.

"With your boyfriend, Kai? The guy that looks like your dog?"

I was going to give her a big slap when she laugh so hard. This girl is getting in to my nerves.

"I'm just kidding, Jendeuk! Look at your face." She laugh so loud again. I ignored her and I start eating. Her face became serious. "I still don't like that guy for you. But it's your life though, not mine."

I just rolled my eyes. She has told me that since forever. Whenever I'm asking her why. She will always say that he's not a good influence for me. Whether she likes him or not, I don't care. As long as she will not bother me, specially us.

By the way, the name is Jennie Kim. I'm 22 years old. Jisoo unnie is my sister, obviously. Our parents are in Busan, they are handling our business. So, mostly they're not home. They let us lived here in Seoul just because of college. Unnie is one year older than me. But she acts like she's 10 years younger than me. I just shrugged all of my thoughts when I finished my food. I stand up and walk out of the dining room.

"Bye-bye, Unnie! I'm going out now." I waved my hands.

"Yah. Take care, Jendeuk!"

I take my car and drive to my favorite cupcake shop. When I already parked it, I entered in and smell a very familiar aroma coming from the inside. Vanilla cupcake! I started walking at the counter and the cashier greeted me with a smile.

"G-Good morning, Miss Kim! What c-can I get you?" She's always like that and I get used to it. I always see her here as a cashier.

"Good morning. Just a box, please."

"Okay. J-Just a minute, Miss Kim." She's always smiling whenever I'm ordering. I think she's like that with everyone.

I sat down and wait for my order. It only took couple of minutes for my order to get finished. I thanked her and go out of the shop. And started driving again. Did I mention that I'm going to surprise Kai? Oh well, I'm waiting for him here at our favorite place. I texted him and didn't wait for his response. Because I know that he will come whatever happens.

I'm already here for about ten minutes and he's still not here. I stand up and walk for a bit to lessen my boredness. When I bumped into someone. Someone that I really know.

"What the- Jennie Kim? Is that really you?" She asked.

I rolled my eyes because of her question. "No, Irene. I'm just an illusion and maybe you're just hallucinating."

Irene is my close friend. I used to be her classmate in highschool. She is Kai's cousin but they're not that close as you think they are. She lived in Amsterdam for two consecutive years.

"Jen! How are you? It's been so long! I missed you. What are you doing here?"

"I missed you too, Irene. I'm waiting for Kai, it's our 2nd anniversary today. Have you seen him? I've been waiting for him for about 15 minutes."

Her smile suddenly fades away. What's wrong? Did I say something bad? I knew from the start that she hates Kai for some reasons.

"You better go home. Don't wait for him. Let him wait for you." She seriously look at me.

I get it why Irene is like that. "Yah. It's okay Irene. Nice meeting you again. I'll go back now. Goodbye!"

"Fine. It's your choice. Just tell me if something bad happen. Bye!"

I gave her a smile before I get back to the bench where I am sitting few minutes ago. I waited more until I get bored. And I can't take this anymore. I don't want to check my phone and I don't have it with me either. I left it in our house. Because it will just be a distraction for today. What took him so long? As far as I know, his house is just near. Where is he?

I roamed my eyes. And my eyes landed on a coffee shop. I saw him...

Laughing with another girl. While their hands are intertwined. That girl is one of my bestfriends.

My tears started to fall. I'm wiping it all but my tears won't stop falling down. Why are you doing this, Kai? Do I deserve this?
