"Oh? Ano'ng ginagawa mo riyan sa labas, Sis?" Nagtatakang tanong ni Chris sa akin. He tapped my shoulders and motioned me to get inside. Napatalon ako sa ginawa niya. He scared me!
Sumilip naman ako sa loob ng dinning room at nakitang nakatingin sa direksyon namin ang apat na lalaki.
"Kain na, Court." Napalingon naman ako kay Chrome. Nakasunod pala siya kay Chris.
"U-Uh yeah..." Naramdaman ko ang pagkakapula ng pisngi ko. I bowed my head and slowly sat down beside Chrome who was wondering about how peculiar I'm acting.
Natahimik naman ang mga lalaki. They stopped talking as they looked at me as if they're guilty of something.
Parang kahapon lang, they were begging me to be their manager still. Then now, they're acting as if they don't know me.
Napakagat na lang ako sa labi ko at kumain na.
Hindi na namin nakasabay sina Daddy and Mommy sa hapag. They're busy, that's what they're saying.
"So..." Chris started. Nararamdaman niya rin siguro ang bigat ng hangin. "I saw the news. You've been linked to Bianca, bro!" Chris laughed. "Talo na manok mo, Chrome." He faced Chrome and tapped Chrome's shoulders.
It's been a while since I last heard them talking about that "chicken".
But instead of focusing on what he said to Chrome, my mind went blank after I realized he mentioned Bianca's name. Kumukulo talaga ang dugo ko para sa babaeng 'yon! I hate her to death.
"U-Uh... oo nga..." Cole let out an awkward laugh as he looked at me. Umiwas naman siya agad ng tingin no'ng makita niyang nakatingin ako sa kanya.
Wow ha. Where's the crazy Cole I know? Why is he suddenly like that? Totoo ba talaga 'yong naiisip kong ayaw nila sa akin?
I suddenly felt bad. I regret opening up to Cole about my past!
"Binubuhat mo kami ah! Dapat kasi sa akin 'yong mga chiks!" si Anton. He slapped Cole's shoulders as he laughed.
"Babae na naman," sabi naman ni Khael at umiling.
"'Di ka pa nasanay."
Napailing na lang ako sa sinabi ni Alex. It's true. Anton is really a playboy, and at this point in life, they're probably used to having girls surrounding them because of Anton. I'm still not used to it though. He's been busy lately so he didn't have that many girls to deal with.
After eating dinner, I went outside to the garden. Dumaan muna ako sa library para kumuha ng libro. I wanted to read quietly. I've been stressed out lately and I want to at least ease my mind a little.
As I was reading, I spaced out. I realized that I didn't have time for myself these past months. Nakakapagod din. I miss my quiet life, but I think I'm used to them here.
"Courtney..."
They're noisy, I'll give them that. Matigas din ang ulo, lalo na ang lider nila. Which I think is very peculiar.
"Courtney."
I sighed. Even if I try to convince myself that they don't matter, I know deep down, I care about them.
"Courtney!"
"Ah! What?!" Napatalon ako dahil sa sigaw ni Anton. He even held my shoulders and shake me. Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin. He sat across me as he laughed.
"'Wag kang magalit! I called you multiple times but you were night dreaming, I guess?" He pursed his lips trying to stifle a laugh.
Namula naman ako sa sinabi niya at binaba ang tingin ko sa libro ko. Nakakahiya! He saw me spacing out! "Whatever..." bulong ko para matabunan ang hiyang nararamdaman ko. I heard him chuckled.
