I saw John standing in the same place I left him. Such nonsense he was thinking. I was years younger than him but I had more insight on the world and what is right and proper. And thinking about childish things, how could he? I am ashamed to even be related to him. I spun sternly on my heel and headed for town. It was still dawn and the dew still hadn't had its chance to be removed from the grass. The sun was rising on the horizon and the worker had just started coming out. Samuel had sworn to meet me outside the towns shop at dawn and thanks to my daft sibling I would be late. I thought about rushing and then advised against it. No lady would run around acting like a fool. No they would be clean and proper.

Samuel was standing outside the store looking quite handsome. He was just about six foot with straight blond hair and deep hazel eyes. Mary walked up to him as he took her hand.

"Mary my dear?." He said to her with admiration in his voice. "Would you be so kind as to accompany me on a walk?"

"I can not think of anything other."

So the two walked through town. Mary was gushing with pride. Her walking with Sir Samuel. Most girls would fawn over the opportunity to be able.  The sun was now high in the sky and Mary and Sam now were at the edge of Marys house.

"My what a lovely house you own."

"Thank you" said Mary with a blush on her cheeks that hasn't left from the beginning of the walk.

"If it wouldn't be to much for you, would you like to continue walking through the woods?

"It would be my pleasure" Mary was quite astonished to see that Sir Samuel wished to spend more time with her. Mary was quite a handsome women but she could think of better.

Hand in hand they walked up the path. Samuel helped Mary like a gentleman over the ruff parts and both were enjoying each others company.

"What is that up there?" said Sir Samuel.

Mary look and remembered her encounter with John earlier that same morning.

"Oh its nothing." Said Mary that in truth didn't want the unlucky chance to run into her curious brother.

Samuel ignored her and continued  to walk upward. Soon he was right at the border line of a small hut. Mary not wanting to be left behind, reluctantly followed behind.

Once Mary was with Sam she could see the hut.

"Have you been here before?" Sir Sam asked Mary.

"Yes once when I was little. Me and my sibling John went to far and we encountered this woman's home."

"A person lives here? Is she civil?" Samuel turned up his nose. He was a respectable gentlemen and had no use of talking to people, that were anything less.

"We did not speak. Once we got up here we saw her and came back down."

Just as the words were uttered from Marys lips a crumpled up women came out of the hut. Following her was John.

"Your relative knows her?" Sir Samuel stood up and gave the house one last disrespecting look and then turned and stomped away.

Again Mary followed him.

"I will not be seen with anyone that is uncivil or knows anyone that is." Samuel looked at Mary with disgust. "Good day to you now." With that he turned again and walked away leaving Mary petrified.
