Black. Darkness. That's all Mary could see as she sat in a unknown place. Fear started to creep over her. Was she going to die such a tragic and pitiful death? She had no idea where her brother or mother was. Mother... Did the other villagers already get to her? And John. The cold and heartless last words that she had said to him. She could never take them back. She was going to die, and she excepted that fact as it was. "Don't let them see weakness," she thought over and over and over in her mind until she thought that if she thought anymore she would be sure to pass out.
"Mary," said a hard voice off in the distance.
Fear crept into Mary. As much as she tried to keep it away it always seemed to find holes in her mind that she hadn't blocked. "Don't let them see weakness, don't let them see weakness, don't let them see weakness." She thought as she gritted her teeth. She knew exactly who it was that stood before her. She knew the second she had been blindfolded. Sam. But it was different now. He no longer spoke with the love and admiration he had before. Now his voice was hard and cold as if he had slapped you in the face with every word he uttered.
"What do you want?" Mary no longer loved the man standing before her. All of her love for him was sucked out of her leaving a empty hollow feeling in its place. 'Dont let him see weakness...'
"What do I want? I want many things. I want that savage in the woods to be killed." With that he ripped the blindfold off exposing Mary to a dark damp room.
"She is no savage, you are."
"Such language."
"I speak the truth."
"What would your mother think."
"I don't know where my mother is. Probably dead."
"Smart girl." With that Marys heart broke and her face turned into a scowl. She spat right upon his foot.
"You never answered my question."
"Ah and what may I ask was that question?"
"What do you want?" Said Mary threw hard teeth. With that Samuel took three long strides until he was merely inches away from Marys face."
"You," he breathed.
"You are a little late for that," said Mary bitterly.
"Yes but that was because of something I did not like. Now that, that thing is gone I can have you again."
"Over my dead body." Said Mary.
"Oh that can be arranged..."
Right before the strike she thought her very last word. Karma...

John sat. Hidden in the safety of the trees. Suddenly he heard the sound of leaves. Turning quickly ready to run he watched.
"John? Is that you?"
"Yes it is me." As soon as the man got close he could see who it was. His good friend Joesph.
"John your whole house is on fire."
"Yes I know. I was there. I think they will be looking for me. Any idea on mother and Mary."
"Dead." He said in a flat voice.
John sucked in a deep breath before he could speak again. "How?"
"Your mother... went up in flames along with the house. And Mary I just saw. It looks like she was stabbed. Samuel is in the middle of town telling anyone that will listen of the witch and how Mary was involved. Said that's why he had to kill her."
Johns hands were in tight balls by his side. All his fault. His fault for her death. No, not just his. But Samuel's. He killed her to.
"I have to get out of here. They will be looking for me sooner or later."
"No you are coming with me." Joesph then pulled out a knife pointing it right at Johns heart.
He had been betrayed...
