Ch 19 - Groggy

You feel tired this morning. The hooting owl is helping you walk and keep your eyes open, but you are just exhausted. A long sleep after a few days and nights of school, pacts, homework, and on this Thursday you put your uniform on as Howie opens the door and flies outside into the main part of the manor. 

You yawned. "How the hell does he do that?" How does an owl open doors? Concern. 

*Hoo* That was a loud one. "Howard, I'm moving. Krimany."

Asia saw the owl fly down the stairs and into the kitchen. "Howie? You alone?" She reached a hand over to pet the top of the owl. 

"Ugh." You get down the stairs and head into the kitchen. "Love the wake up call." You get into a kitchen chair and rest your head on the table.

"You're a mess dude." Issei shook his head.

"Please. I've seen your bed sheets."

"Ouch man."

"For reals. But on a serious note I'm still exhausted."

"Asia can't heal stamina either. Coffee or tea?" Asked Rias. (Ara-ara insert here)

"Cawfee and some of what smells good in here. Need to start this day off right. Caffeine kick, good food, and we should be rolling." You pick your head up. "I hope."

"A hug maybe?" Asked Akeno.

"Why not?"

Akeno moved over to wrap her arms around you. "You just need a little lovings."

Howie whistled and flapped his wings.

"Howie no whistling the ladies. It's rude."

"What's troubling you (FN)?" Asked Asia.

"Outside of being sore and the two tests today, I'm hoping for a mellow day. We all get it right? Tired and sore?"

"Maybe a soak in the springs downstairs will do the job." Assured Rias.

"Hmmm, you know what? Why didn't I think of that?"

"Because I take it you're more of a shower guy. But after school you're taking a soak. You need to replenish and be your best. So eat up, have some coffee, and after a hard school day I'm granting you a free afternoon and evening as long as you get your butt in the springs when you get back." That's a handsome offer by Rias. How could anyone decline that?

"Done. Thank you very much. You literally have no idea."

She smiled and shook her head. "I do. And know you're grateful for it too. As I said before, I try and take care of everyone. I care about all of you. And for you boy, it's mostly mental."

"Mostly-" Your mother, that crush of yours still that you don't know how she feels about you. Hint hint on both sides. "Can't argue there."

"Swell. Now what I need you to do if complete the day with effort and grace. Just as you always do. There is light at the end. Rainbows too."

"And aroma." Added Akeno still hugging you.

"All good." You smile back at her.

"Don't suffocate him." Insisted Asia.

"Good point." Akeno finally let go.

Howie shook his head. Then flew to your shoulder. "Yeah yeah." You smile and pet him right above his peek.
