Once we were back out in the main area of Double Trouble's secret hideaway, we quickly found that the others had changed into disguises, too. Double Trouble was presently working on the art of shifting into a robot, so they could get intel on the robots nearby and what they were plotting.
Once Adora entered the main area, I quickly glanced to the ground again. Why was I so nervous? This was so... As Double Trouble would put it... Awkward.
"Uh... Catra, Adora, let's go," Mermista said, "I know we can do this but if you two continue to have this awkward tension between the two of you, I am honestly going to scream. We have a mission here. Let's keep moving."
I supposed she was right but I couldn't help but grumble as Adora and the others made their way out of Double Trouble's hideaway and I followed suit.
Once we we got back outside into the Secret Woods, Scorpia checked up on Entrapta and her pretty severe injury. Entrapta insisted that she was fine, though, which was such a perfectly Entrapta thing to do.
I was just glad to see, when I glanced towards the sky for a second, that it looked as though the weather had cleared up.
"Right. Let's do something in preparation for when the robots arrive. We don't want another ambush," Mermista said.
I supposed that she probably had a good point. We needed to be ready if the robots were going to suddenly sneak up on us again.
"Entrapta, you can make the trap. In the meantime, I'll use my water magic to send any approaching robots slipping back," she said decisively, as she flipped her blue hair over her shoulder.
"On it!" Entrapta said with excitement, as she began to set up a trip wire with resources she found in the forest.
In the meantime, Bow decided to set up our positions for where everyone should be when the robots arrived.
"We can do this, guys! We just have to work together," he said, with a faint smile.
Glimmer's pupils dilated a little, as she looked towards him. She then spoke, too.
"It's an honour being your queen, everyone. I know we can do this! Let's do this for Etheria! Let's sort out these pesky robots! We have to protect our friends," she said passionately.
Bow smiled, as he gave her a nod of agreement.
The robots began to make their way towards us then but luckily, thanks to Bow's directions, everyone was fairly well concealed away from them.
Double Trouble stepped forward, then.
"Dire conditions are no excuse for a lack of originality, darlings," they said and then took a deep breath, "It's been a while since I shifted... I've sort of been on holiday," they mumbled, "But I've got this," they added.
Double Trouble then proceeded to shapeshift into a robot. It was quite impressive, in all honesty. Although, I probably wouldn't admit that to Double Trouble's face. I didn't want them to get big headed... Any more than they were already.
While they prepared, I glanced towards Adora for a moment to find her glancing in my direction with a glint of concern in her eyes. No matter what we went through, I knew that I would always be there for Adora. It didn't matter what happened. She would forever be my best friend. She was the one person who never gave up on me. As I looked her way, I felt the previous anger that I had felt begin to melt away. I couldn't help but smile and Adora smiled back, as she gave me a nod. Things were going to be okay. I rubbed my neck a little nervously, as I managed to tear my eyes away from Adora for a moment and back towards the situation at hand.
