"I can't believe we're on another mission. I mean, don't get me wrong here, I love you guys. You've been nothing but great and supportive to me ever since mom...well, you already know what happened there. The point I'm trying to make is that I promised myself I was going to focus on school this year and improve my knowledge about how to be a good queen but..." Glimmer trailed off.
"I promise, Glimmer, life will be back to normal as soon as we can get it back to normal," I said. Well, as 'normal' as life could ever be in Etheria, that is to say. "We're all going to be okay. We just need to venture forth, find Entrapta, bring her back home. I can then sort things out with Catra and...everything will be just fine."
I wasn't sure whether I was trying to convince them or myself more, at this point. All I knew was that I desperately wanted for the words that had left my mouth to come true.
Bow and Glimmer looked towards me with what I supposed was admiration.
"We trust you, Adora!" Glimmer told me enthusiastically, as we walked on through the woods. "Ah! A clearing. Let's stop here so I can start to draw Fifi the robot."
Bow began to chuckle again. Glimmer and I both just gave him a look. He swiftly quietened himself.
Bow, Glimmer and I all sat down in the clearing that we had got to and I began to provide Glimmer with a description of the robot that Catra and I had found earlier. She drew it out and...
"That's actually pretty impressive," I said, after she had finished the drawing. It really did look a lot like Fifi.
"Well, I'm not just a pretty princess," Glimmer said.
Bow put his chin in the palms of his hands, as he replied, "You're right. You're a queen," he said.
Glimmer's cheeks grew a little pinker and she just smiled back at Bow.
"I love the fall! Don't you two?" Bow asked.
"It's okay," I said.
"Adora, cheer up! Everything is going to be okay! I'm going to be honest with you, I just know that you and Catra are going to figure everything out! You two were made for each other," Glimmer said.
"Are you sure about that?" Bow asked then.
Glimmer sighed.
"I mean this is Catra that we're talking about and while she can be adorable at times she's also..."
"Terrifying? Yeah, I know. That's just Catra," I said. As I thought about her, my heart felt as though it was being squeezed uncomfortably in my chest. Perhaps I was lying to myself about why I had left Catra behind. Was I scared of her not being safe or was I scared of her leaving me again?
I gave a slight shake of my head, then, as if by doing so I could cause the thought to leave my brain.
"Are you okay, Adora?" Bow asked me.
That was just the thing. I didn't feel like I could ever be entirely okay if Catra and I were arguing again. That being said, I really was glad that I had Glimmer and Bow with me. The two of them were amazing friends. I knew that I would do all that I could to protect them.
"I'll be fine," I said, as we approached Madame Razz's. "Thank you two for coming along with me. You guys are amazing!" I said.
Glimmer gave me a small smile in response to that statement.
"We're your friends, Adora. It's what we are here for. Now, let's go kick some robot butt!" she said.
"That's our queen!" Bow said.
I released a small chuckle.
"We will get round to finding Entrapta and kicking some robot butt soon, I'm sure, but right now we need to talk to Madame Razz. I'm sure she'll be here... Right in her house-" I started to say, as I began to open the door of her little cottage in the woods to find that it was... Entirely empty. Where did she go?
"Madame Razz?" I called out.
Bow and Glimmer followed me into the kitchen, where we soon found a little note.
Mara, dearie. I've gone out berry picking. I'll be back soon! Also, I heard a strange, strange noise coming from within the woods. Be careful out there.
Glimmer's nose creased up a little.
"Mara?" she asked.
I gave a small nod.
"The previous She-ra," I explained.
"Well, I guess we are going to have to continue to search for Entrapta on our own," Bow said.
"Well, yeah but we've got this!" Glimmer said. "We need to get entrapta home and then Adora can fix things with Catra. Again. Ugh. It's hard being a queen," Glimmer said.
I gave her a look of sympathy, as we made our way out of Madame Razz's cottage and began to walk through the woods again. Soon enough, we came to a small clearing where we found more silver robotic parts.
"Whatever stole Entrapta away from us is gradually breaking down, it seems," Bow said.
"Well-observed, Bow!" Glimmer said.
Bow gave her a grin.
Glimmer blushed.
"Right, Glimbow, stop flirting. We need to keep going," I said.
Glimmer chuckled.
"Glimbow?" she asked, as we navigated through some thick tree branches.
"Well, yeah. It's an amalgamation of your names," I said.
"I prefer Glow," Glimmer said.
"Or Blimmer!" Bow said.
Glimmer and I both just looked at him and gave a subtle shake of our heads.
"Alright fine, so we're not liking Blimmer," he said.
Glimmer's lips twitched up at the edge, as she moved slightly closer to Bow to take his hand in hers.
"We need to think about where in Etheria Entrapta could be," I said.
"What if she was taken by bandits?" Glimmer asked.
This time around, Bow and I gave her a look.
"I mean... She might have been," Glimmer said, "My mom always used to tell me to keep out of the woods when I was younger, in case bandits and thugs tried to get me."
Bow gave a little shake of his head in disbelief.
"No thugs or bandits are getting you on my watch," he said.
I rolled my eyes but smirked right after.
"Let's go," I said.
Bow and Glimmer gave slight nods of their heads and we continued to wander further into the woods.
