Castien was sitting in his hotel room watching TV and holding his phone. He had been given the directions and time for the meeting. Seems like they want to go to that cafe she always goes to when she leaves work. She enjoys hot chocolate and brownies. I should make sure to get there early to order them. Ah... I wonder what the human likes. Whatever, it is of no importance to me. He thought to himself.
Sebastian was also in the room watching relaxing. Castien hadn't allowed Sebastian to leave the hotel. He threatened to cut off all his cards and access to money. "Older brother, may I go to the bathroom? Since I need to ask you to do anything." Sebastian said with an attitude.
"Piss on yourself for all I care, you disrespetful little shit." Castien said without even looking at his brother.
"Wow..." Sebastian said.
"Yup."
"You hate me that much." Sebastian asked, a little sad.
Castien signed and turned off the tv. He turned to his brother and rubbed his temples. "I could never hate you Sebastian. You are the last good our mother did before she left us. Hating you would be as if I hate my mother and that would never happen. I dislike how you act at times. The constant traveling and sleeping with random women of all races. The ignoring your duties and training as a guard of the Fae court... its very frustrating as your older brother. I just want the best for you." Castien said to him.
"... I know I do things that frustrate you and father. I also know father is rather disappointed in me. It bothers me that I have all these responsibilities and all this weight put on me. You will become the head of the guard... I'll just be the brother and son of the Head of the Guard. it sucks." Sebastian said, sounding rather sad.
Castien smiled at Sebastian. "I know you think you have to live up father's or even my expectations of you. You don't. I just want you to find your place in the Fae community. It may not be with the guard... I don't know where it will be. We live very long. Some say we live too long. I'm still considered rather young to our elders. You are basically a baby. So just don't catch something. Ok?" Castien said with a hand on his brother's shoulder.
Sebastian felt a wave of relief wash over him. It was a weird bonding situation that he had never had before with Castien. "i wonder if she would be ashamed of me." Sebastian said.
"Never. She would never feel ashamed of you or me. We were her pride and joy. They struggled for hundreds of years trying to have us. We are the two out of ten that survived to birth and afterwards. Same with Father. You are his Senu, his sweet boy. I am his Benu, his brave boy. We will be his boys forever." Castien said, sternly.
Sebastian was about to say something when his cellphone went off. "Castien. It's father." He answered his phone and cleared his voice. "Hello, father. How are you?" Sebastian said in Fae. He put the phone on speaker and placed it between them on a table.
"My boys, how are you both? I pray to Gaia and her daughters, you two are not fighting. Sebastian Senu, I need you to listen to your dear older brother. You know Benu can be a straight arrow." Their father said. He sounded weak and as if he was struggling to breathe.
"Father, Castien and I have been talking, calmly this time. We are trying to just get on a different level. I know I can be a bit much father and for that I do apologize." Sebastian said.
"Ah my sweet boy. My little Senu, I'm so happy you two are talking like brothers. You two are all I have left of my dear love. Seeing you two fight and bicker hurts my heart." Their father said.
"I completely agree, father. Sebastian and I are working hard to reach a better place in our relationship as brothers. I wish for us to go back to how we were when we were young boys." Castien said.
"Young masters, I have to cut this conversation short. Your father is about to see the doctor." A female voice said.
"Ah thank you nurse Kisa. Father, we will call you back later. We love you." Sebastian said.
"Yes, father. Do well to listen to the doctor. We love you." Castien said, grabbing the phone.
"Ah yes, I love you both. Take care, my sweet boy and brave boy." their father said before they hung the phone up.
They both sat there staring at the phone. Sebastian looked at Castien and noticed the pain on his face. "I'm sorry I left him when you asked me to watch and care for him. I hadn't been to the human land in so long, so I used it as an excuse because I felt you would never give me the permission to go."
Castien signed, "I know I'm to hard on you. I am sorry for that." HE smiled at Sebastian and grabbed Aistel's file. "Now that we are getting along, help me with this unknown. She is so difficult and I do not understand how to handle human women. I'm meeting them tomorrow afternoon at a cafe she enjoys." He said.
"Oh, I can help you with that, no problem. I wonder if her cute human friend comes too. I know she is dating an gyfted but maybe I can convince her to give a Fae a chance."
Sebastian rolled his eyes, "Yea the human is coming. I forget her name. I didn't ask her name. That is probably going to be a problem. She seems very attached to Aistel." Castien said.
"Oh, it's Irene. You wrote it down. They have been best friends since they were in grade school. Apparently Aistel saved her life. Irene tried to fly. Her grandfather can fly, so she thought maybe that was her gyft. Kinda funny. Aistel saved her life." Sebastian had said while he was flipping through her file.
"Well shit, I didn't even realize. I think sometimes I'm not thinking when I'm writing information. Especially with her. Her pictures are all haunting. Her gaze is there, but she seems distance and in pain. It's so weird." He said staring at her picture.
Sebastian could have sworn he saw a rad flash in his brother's eyes, but ignored it and snatch the picture away. "Well, don't stare. She may hypnotize you." He laughed.
Sebastian laughed but felt weird. He couldn't figure out why he suddenly felt the urge to find her.
