Aistel and Irene headed to her parent's house and went into the basement. Ire seemed nervous about entering it. She grabbed Aistel's shoulder, causing her to lose her balance. Aistel quickly regained her balance and shot Irene a nasty look.

"Sorry, Sorry.... Shouldn't you tell your folks we're here?" Irene said nervously.

"Why?"

"Because they are your PARENTS. I mean, it is their house. You should at least respect them that much. I know you don't particularly have much feelings toward them." Ire said.

Aistel blankly stared at Irene. She never understood the need people had for pleasing their parents or others. In her mind, unless people were of use, she cared nothing for them. Her family never did much for her. She never connected with anyone until she met Ire.

"Fine. I'll head upstairs to tell them once we get in. I could do it now to make you feel better?" She asked with a blank face.

Irene just smiled and nodded.

With that reply, Aistel opened the basement door and let Irene in. As they throw their stuff down onto coach, Aistel noticed her room light was on. She slowly opened the door to find her mother laying on her bed.

"Oh, it looks like she fell asleep waiting on you to get home. Thats so sweet."

"Why is this sweet? She is just satisfying her own emotional needs. That's all most humans do, at least." Aistel said as she took off her clothes. She pulled a towel out of a bag and grabbed her shower cap.

"Ah, can't I go first? You take so long in there." Ire asked.

"No. Wait here."

Ire kicked the door closed, which caused Aistel's sleeping mother to wake up. "Ah Sorry Mrs. Toru! I forgot you were there."

"Oh Ire! Ah, that means.... She is home." Mrs. Toru said with a sadness.

"I'm guessing Aisti is still cold towards you. I wish there was a way to make her more caring. All those years in therapy...."

Irene and Mrs. Toru stood in silence for a few seconds. Irene glanced at Mrs. Toru. She looked tired. Mrs. Toru had her long black hair tied into a low ponytail. She looked up and saw Irene watching her and smiled. "Did you girls eat? I made lasagna. Also, I got Aisti's favorite soda. Pineapple...." Aistel's mother said, with her voice trailing off.

Irene avoided Mrs. Toru's gaze. She merely nodded and sat down in Aistel's computer chair.

"I'll just head upstairs for now. I was told she is going to the council with that Fae. I hope it all works out. I won't hover... I know how much she doesn't like it. I mean, she doesn't get why I worry so much. That's to be understood with her condition... You take care, Irene." Mrs. Toru said with a weak smile. She turned and left the room.

After Mrs. Toru left, Irene was browsing the internet when Aisti walked in. She was still wet from the shower and was wearing a robe. She had a towel wrapped around her hair. She had a blank expression on her face.

Ire turned and looked at Aisti. Aisti threw a towel over her face. "Stop watching me get dressed, pervert. Even Tons wouldn't go that far." Aisti stopped herself and continued to get dressed.

"Ugh, please don't remind me. Anyway, I'm just looking up information about that Fae homeland. So it seems there is a barrier up so that cell reception is reduced. Sadly, we don't have enough time to order you a satellite phone. I know they have cellphones but they are more the magical type. So I'm not sure how well they will connect you to me and Tons. Hopefully, your phone allows the text through and luckily we can text over wifi, BUT I don't know if they have that either." Said Irene, who was looking quite frustrated.
