Aistrel was laying in her bed. Her wings were wrapped around her. She had fallen asleep reading a scroll. The door to her room slowly opened. Aedrofer peaked into the room and sighed. "Are you still asleep, little one?" He whispered to her.
Aistrel rolled over, still clearly asleep. She curled up into a ball and was covering herself with her wings. "Let me rest some more, elder brother." She said sleepily.
Aedrofer chuckled and sat next to her on the bed. He gently lifted her wing to get the sunlight to hit her face. "I would if I could, little one. Lord Gabriel request the both of us to attend his ceremony. Along with the other Seraphim. I would like to skip it as well but that is not an option for us and you know that. So let's get up and ready for the ceremony. After that you will be flying with Lord Uriel to the neutral grounds." He said as he gently let go of her wing.
Aistrel groaned and slowly sat up. She brushed her hair from her face and stretched out her large wings. She waved her brother out of the room and closed the door. Then she went to bathe. She glanced at her armor and rolled her eyes. "It's so uncomfortable. Is this how your armor is brother?" She asked loudly, knowing Aedrofer would still be outside her room to make sure she dressed.
"Mine is heavier, little one. Yours is made for stealth and speed. My is made to withstand heavy attacks. I am front lines. You are the ones who will sneak and kill leaders. You will be trained by Lord Gabriel himself. It is a great honor that has befallen our family." Aedrofer said softly.
Aistrel glanced at the picture of their mother. She didn't remember much about her. She died when they were young. Aedrofer had some memory of her but it was bits and pieces now. It had been hundreds of years since their mothers death. Their father had caused her death and thus became a fallen. A fallen that Aedrofer would personally destroy. It brought joy to Aedrofer but his joy was alarming to the other Seraphim so he was not allowed to train with Lord Michael. Even though Michael had tried to continue the training stating the joy in defeating a sworn enemy was normal.
Aistrel had finished dressing and opened her door to Aedrofer smiling. "You look so much like mother at times." He said sweetly.
Aistrel smiled weakly at him and continued down the large hallway. They did not live by themselves. They lived in a cluster with other Seraphim. Aedrofer was considered a Seraphim to all that lived there but he was not officially one. He also did not have the third pair of wings most had Seraphim did have.
They reached a large area that had tables and chairs similar to a café. The Seraphim do not need to eat. They do so because many enjoy the taste and mouthfeel. Also many other celestial beings do need to eat, so when they are around them, they eat to be friendly. Alcohol does not cause them to become drunk either. So like with food, the Seraphim consume Alcohol to be friendly.
Aedrofer glanced over to his younger sister and noticed she was upset. "What seems to be bothering you, Little one?" He asked her.
Aistrel sighed and shrugged. "I can not help but feel... worried about the future of my training. I have had strange dreams lately. Of fire and of myself living among... humans." She said worried.
She knew humans would talk about their gut feelings. Like some humans could tell when things were going to get bad, more so than others. She was not sure why she felt this way. She did not like how Lord Michael had canceled all of Aedrofer's training. She did understand that the joy Aedrofer felt when slaying the fallen that killed their parents was wrong, she also understand him. Though being his sister, she was also a bit happy with him avenging them.
Suddenly a large arm was around Aedrofer's neck, holding him down and placing him in a playful chokehold. "There is the wild and powerful Aedrofer! I do wish I could have been there to see the joy on your face when you slayed that fallen scum. Then again, you have killed many a characters, shocking the killing of a fallen is what got you in trouble." the large bronze skinned man said with a hearty laugh. His bright green eyes and long blond hair made him look strange.
